Okay here is the scoop on International Market, go ahead and skip that buffet line, unless you want an egg roll. Walk up to the register and order something from the menu taped down in front of the register. My personal favorites are the Singapore Noodles, Tom Kha, and Pad Kra Pao in no particular order. Prepare to have your taste buds delighted. You might want to order a Thai tea to sip on while you wait, especially if you are visiting in the sweltering summer heat. Food will arrive and then they will bring you some various extra concoction to add to it a sprinkle of chili powder or a delicious chili garlic vinegar, give your food a taste and then feel free to add some of the extras. Savor the delicious flavors and prepare to come back craving something wonderful that you ate here. If you order from the buffet prepare to eat average buffet food, but order from the back and you will see where the real magic happens. Also the family that runs this place is wonderful once you become a regular they remember what you usually like to order and always ask where you have been if they havent seen you in a while. One of my favorite places to eat, in a way it feels like coming home.

Worst Chinese food experience I ever had in my life. Starting with the appetizers which was soggy and old instead of crispy and fresh ( calamari and prawns). Main entrees (chicken fried rice, black bean sauce) was straight awful with absolutely no taste. We had to use the chilly spice rack and lots of soy sauce to endure swallowing our dinner. The restaurant was practically empty yet their service (refilling water, general customer service) was below par. I was visiting from out of town and have no idea how this place got a 4 star rating, which is why I decided to eat there in the first place. I will NEVER revisit this restaurant and would recommend the same for all individuals who love to enjoy their meal. I couldve made better Chinese food and I do not know how to even cook Chinese. I had this awful taste in my mouth until the next day when I had absolutely delicious Chinese food for lunch.

Wow, I was shocked at how bad this was! I knew that it was cafeteria style - so I just went in for some tom yum soup and a spring roll. I also got the $2 potsticker from the cafeteria counter. They charged me $15 and I had difficulty communicating with the staff, and there was no menu, or posted prices beyond the potsticker. I felt ripped off because of the pricing and especially because I ended up throwing the potstickers in the trash. The staff glommed sauce all over the potstickers while they were putting them in a box, and by the time I walked 2 blocks back to my apartment, theyd turned into slimy wet dough. Soup and spring roll were not quite average. I cant recommend, other than to pop into the store section for a bottle of hot sauce or ramen.

The food was awful. It left all of us wanting our money back. The curry was watery, the egg roll was oily and chewy, the fried rice was dry, and the rest of the crew thought it was pretty much hand to mouth. It was very expensive for what was advertised (this place received a 4.2 star rating on Google Maps?!? How was that possible?) The cashier mumbled a series of random numbers, and "calculated" the total. It was $31 to feed my family of 4 and we had waters. We felt scammed. I will not be returning here again.

This has got to be one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville. I love Asian food--especially Thai food--and for the money you cannot beat the International Market. While the atmosphere isnt the greatest, but as a market and cafeteria style restaurant, it is just what it claims to be and it fills a wonderful niche. The people are friendly, the food is great and the price is right.

This is a nice little restaurant with its own style. I tried the iced Thai tea, which was pretty good, tasted like bubble tea without bubble. Also the Thai Sukiyaki was not bad, and to my surprise the soy noodles were actually my favorite Chinese "fensi" :) When you consider the fact that there are few asian restaurants in Nashville, this one is above average.

The decor isnt much to write home about, but I have been coming here since I was a very young child. They have steamed pork buns which are amazing! Their curries are so good! If, somehow, you dont see something you like, you can ask them to cook you something special in the kitchen. This place is my favorite place to eat in Nashville.

Food is everything you would expect from an all you can eat Chinese buffet. Its a not a place I would go out of my way to eat at and the prices seemed slightly high for what it was. Parking on Belmont Boulevard is a NIGHTMARE so be prepared for that. Just being honest my tummy did not feel great after eating here, you were warned.

This is without a doubt one of my favorite places to eat in all of Nashville. The food is absolutely fantastic, the staff is very friendly and nice, and it has a uniquely charming atmosphere. I would recommend eating here any time. There is a large variety of food to choose from, and you get what you pay for. Very affordable!

Overpriced and tasteless :( Very disappointed. We did a search and the reviews averaged out to 4 stars for overall experience. I dont see how. It was watery, tasteless, overpriced and subpar. I am very disappointed. College students: spend your money elsewhere. This place is improfessional.

Foods are too sweet for some reason. Not sure if chef likes it that way or not! There are better Thai food places around. Price$$ a bit high for a lunch time spot closed to a university. But they have been around for a long time so I guess people here just got used to it.

Visiting from Boston and didnt read the reviews before coming here but glad I popped in for a pad Thai! Affordable food and friendly people. Pad Thai was nice and not too sweet which was good! Would try different dishes if Im here again for sure!

All of the prepared food has been sitting for way too long and is not flavored well. The market side is completely overpriced! There is no where else in town that would dare charge what they do and plenty of better options. STEER CLEAR!

Love the eggplant and tofu from the steam table. Be sure to order food from menu that you may not see like the chicken soup. Also, try asking for the off-menu salad. Best of all is the owner, who youll often find on-site Patti Myint.

So nice to have this market and restaurant in our neighborhood! Whether we need one obscure ingredient or just dont want to cook, Patty and crew are there for us. Call ahead and theyll make you a fresh order of pad thai!

Any native Nashvillian knows this place is a gold mine. Great food, great people, and its been a cornerstone of the neighborhood for decades. Still owned and operated by the same family since forever. Love this place!

The food is great for the price. A la carte menu is delicious as always fresh. They are always willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. For example, they can make Tom Yum and Tom Kha with veggie broth and tofu.
