FANTASTIC store, the only one in the area worth going into. The store is a massive two floor wonderland filled with every outdoor brand you can think of, and tons of outdoor gear, including lots of serious equipment, not just outlet mall style gloves and hats. They also have a suspension bridge on the second floor that kids and adults are always having fun going across. The interior of the store is like a giant log ski lodge and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you are an outdoorsy person with a bug to do some shopping, or are in town and need a piece of clothing or gear, definitely check NOC out, its a really nice store and worth the time.

NOC is a really cool outdoor oriented store, like an outfitter. Everything from clothes and shoes to books and hammocks. Everything you need to enjoy a lazy afternoon in the Great Smoky Mountains national park or a multi day hiking adventure. Awesome atmosphere with things for the kids to explore and play with. No trip to the park is complete without a stop at NOC. Update 6/4/17 - Went back to NOC and had a great time. The staff is very helpful. I think they have added more things since I was here last.

A nice store that doubles as a gateway to the Smoky Mountains. I would say however that if youre looking to outfit yourself for some serious hiking, you may want to look elsewhere. Yes, they have much of what you need, but I got the feel that this store is more focused on the tourist and not the serious outdoors person. If youre missing a thing or two, youll find a replacement option here, but thats about all Id look for.

Very nice staff and a super cool store although prices are a bit high. I do wish they had more skiing/snowboarding equipment since the pro shop at Gatlinburg is so tiny. However, I do visit often as I am in Gatlinburg quite a bit during the winter to snowboard and I have purchased quite a few things that I forgot at home or needed unexpectedly. The gear is all top shelf. Its the best place in town for outdoor gear.

Everything you need for your hiking/camping/fishing/climbing outdoor needs. Fun cave area for the kids to play in and great staff that showed our son how to use flint to make sparks. I wished they had more plus sizes. I do think that their guide tour booth has decreased in size and they didnt have too much information regarding their services other than rafting. The NOC rafting was awesome.

Visited this store while vacationing in Gatlinburg. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I went back into the store 2 days later to purchase a Yeti rambler and get a discount on some shoes I purchased 2 days prior. They made it happen with no hassle at all. The cashier even remembered my name. This area just suffered a huge wildfire. Pray for them all. 5 star place all the way.

I believe Jim (or Joe) took care of us. We went in to buy a hiking pack for my birthday, and he fitted me for one that best suited our needs. He was friendly, patient, helpful, and best of all, knowledgeable! He even pointed us inthe direction of a place where we could rent hiking/camping gear. The young men at the register were very friendly and helpful, too!

Very cool place for all things outdoors! I was in Sevierville at Journeys looking for some Chacos and they did not have a very robust selection so they referred me to NOC. Thank goodness I took their advice because I found the coolest Chacos Ive ever seen! This is a must visit if you are an outdoors adventurer and in Gatlinburg!

This is a great place to get outdoor supplies. It is very close to the National Park so it is very convenient if you are heading out and happened to have forgotten something. However the prices are rather high. They are very comparable to Bass Pro Shops. It is still a good place nonetheless!

This place is great. I was able to pick up some gear I needed before going into the national park. They have everything you need for camping and hiking. They also have a cool rope bridge inside and a little place for kids to play in. I would give it 5 stars if they carried more toddler sizes.

Compared to REI, they have just about everything the same but just a little less selection. But still definitely everything you need. Very retail place though, they are missing some of the hardcore backpacking essentials. At least the stuff that is light and doesnt cost a million dollars.

We had a wonderful experience rafting with Brett, who kept us entertained all the time - taking us against the water current, rapids, sharing jokes, take a dip in the water, altogether letting us have a quality time. I had done white water rafting before but Brett you are the best!

This is a really cool store. The only reason I dont automatically give this location a 5 star is because the prices are just a little expensive. What you get for that is a great selection of stuff that you may not have even realize that you need it... Wanted.

Great store with great staff! Jim was super helpful! The prices were right on with what you would pay at REI and Dicks. Great for picking up replacement or forgotten hiking and camping items. Definately worth stopping in before you hit the trails.

Great place for outdoor gear! The store itself is really cool with a rope bridge, a rock climbing wall, and more, and their selection of merchandise is quite good. We like visiting this place whenever were in Gatlinburg.

Great selection of most outdoor gear. However no bike gear?! Great destination for mountain biking and rode biking with Clingmans Dome a climb away. I think they are missing a great market by ignoring this segment.

This place is a candy store for the outdoorsman. Quality gear and clothing and an eager sales-staff to help. When you visit the NOC allow plenty of time because you have several floors to explore.

Very extensive equipment selection for camping and hiking goods and apparel, but prices are a higher than you could find online. Almost comparable to brick-and-mortar REI stores.

Awesome store! Very with a visit, even if just for a quick browse. Saved our backpacking trip being the closest place to grab some items we forgot to pack before heading out!
