As I walked in to Barnes and Noble in Cool Springs, the first two things I noticed were smell of coffee and lots of books. In Barnes and Noble in Cool Springs, it has Starbucks inside the store and comfortable couches for people like me who like to read before you actually buy it. Also they divided books into different sections so it’s very easy for you to find books on your own. Not only they have books they have CDs and DVDs too. In Cool Springs Barnes and Noble, they have kid’s section where they read them stories on special occasions like Easter, Halloween, or Christmas, and they have little stage where they do plays or puppet show for little kids. There is a good reason why I like Barnes and Noble the one in Cool Springs area. One day I was there to get my summer reading. I could not find it so I asked the person who worked there. She checked everywhere even the storage for my summer reading sweats dripping on her forehead. I felt bad. She told me that I could get that book in few days if I order it, which I did right away. Three days later she sent me an email saying my book arrived. Thankfully, I got my summer reading right on time. This is why you should go to Barnes and Noble in Cool Springs because they got the best service, nice couches, and delicious Starbucks coffee to go with it.

I visited this location most recently on 8/15 but I am a regular at least once a month. I went in with the intention of getting notebooks because I knew they carried moleskin. I went and looked at their selection and there was a wide variety in shapes and colored but I wasnt completely sold just because I wasnt sure if that notebook was what I wanted. I walked around to think about it while looking at other products. I love their graphic novel section and the fact they showcase the more well known characters and give them better shelves but every now and again to get new readers they show case a new character which I think is great! I think everything is organized perfectly. Yes I have issues finding things all the time but the customer service desk knows exactly where it is so either way I get what I need. My only complaint about the structure is I wish they had a larger book to screen section and vice versa. Its pretty good but I just wish they had more, but since movies come and go it makes sense business wise that the books act in the same way. The staff is always completely friendly and helpful introducing me to new ways to save money and get the most out of my selections. They have great events and are very informative about them!

Where to start. Books are out of place on the shelves, constantly. Good luck finding anything. The management is unconcerned for the welfare of its patrons. The lighting is horrible, the noise is constant. The lines are long and it takes a long while to purchase anything. The employees are miserable and seem determined to share this with the customers. The restaurant part of this business, is lacking a no smoking section, that violates local ordinances by the way. The tables and chairs are all chained together outside. The eating area is crowded. The reading area is crowded, you are often asked to stop browsing books and to purchase something. If reading a book you purchased in the lounge area, it is assumed you *stole* the book...I have been a patron of this place for two years, too long. I finnaly gave it quits, after suffering an asthma attack from a pair of smokers in the dine in area and was informed they had a right to smoke. Apparently I had a right to go to the hospital....That was it, I was through with this place. I only came here because it was nearby and convenient. I will give my future patronage to a far more deserving book store, even if I have to drive the distance.

Awful. Awful. LOVE Barnes! I am an avid shopper there. Never have had a bad expirence..until today. Very angry and disappointed. I was looking through books, sorting out the ones I want, putting some back. The usual. I was approached by an employee WHO WORKS IN THE CAFE who told me passive aggressively while whispering, "just be sure to put it away and dont do this this and this" I was appalled. I work retail and would never disrupt the order of anything. I AM entirely understanding and always clean up my "mess". Ive never been more infuriated that an employee would say that to a paying costumer. I, who work in retail, would NEVER say that to one. I will never be back. Awful service.

I had a great time shopping until upon checkout, I noticed that the Playboy magazine was featured at child-height at the checkout station I dont care what adult people read, but when I asked about this display (which I noticed because I child was standing right in front of it) I was told that they pay extra to corporate for this display and it wasnt a typical Playboy as it wasnt entirely nude, it was just overtly seductive ... Oh wow. Umm... so that makes it okay??? Im just tired of irresponsible marketing. Im going to take my money elsewhere.

I use the cafe because I work nearby. Unfortunately they are almost always understaffed or when there are actually 2 people behind the counter theyre in no hurry to complete your order. I had to walk out without my drink or a refund because they couldnt take my order and make my drink within 11 minutes. Theres no excuse for that when all that was in front of me was one other person and another order of brewed coffee. And when I informed them I had to leave and be back to work in literally one minute, one of them looked at me like I was crazy.

We love this place! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the selection is great, and the cafe is a nice place to drink a cup of java and read a book. They often have events with some well-known authors doing book signings. They have storytime at least once or twice a week for the kids. My only complaint is that they dont do any price matching, and most of the time you pay the list price, although they do send out coupons occasionally. For the book lover, though, this is a great place to shop or browse!

One of the last sit down bookstores except you cannot sit down....theres no place to sit down and browse over a book before buying as they removed all the chairs this place once had. I used to come here a lot but not anymore even getting rid of my nook as they seem to be more interested in selling books than selling the experience of a book. Staff is as nice as can be but the Starbucks is not a corporate Starbucks so your gift cards or coupons or whatever may not be accepted here.

Great selection and employees helped me. Finally got tired of going online for everything. Sure its possible to save on a lot of things, but not always and dont always get exactly what I expect, and how hard is mailing something back? Hence, there is something to be said for actually browsing at a REAL bookstore. I got a good deal, buying a couple of books that were on sale and enjoyed looking at sections that I normally dont frequent, such as biographies and history.
