My employer brought some their cupcakes back to the office after lunch a few weeks ago and I just fell in love with them. Specifically, their "Sweet&Salty" caramel cupcakes. So today I decided to find this place and buy a few of those wonderful "Sweet&Salty Caramel" cupcakes. I even decided to buy a few other flavors, Unfortunately, they werent what I was expecting. The cupcakes I had a few weeks ago were light, fresh, and not necessarily warm but they werent cold. These cupcake that I bought today were very cold and not at all fresh. It was as if they had been sitting in the refrigerator for a few days. And considering that today is Tuesday maybe thats the case; maybe not. All I know is these cupcakes were not at all like what I had before and Im so disappointed.

I am honestly shocked to read any of these bad reviews! I work for a large corporation right here in downtown Spartanburg and Cakehead is our go to bakery for cupcakes, cakes, etc. We have never been disappointed and have always had AWESOME customer service. To be more specific, I called one afternoon with a request for 250 cupcakes for 10am the next morning. They bent over backwards to accommodate our request. Better yet, the cupcakes arrived early and they were delicious. We also receive cakes and cupcakes from them sent by some of our agency partners and again, never disappointed. You should definitely try them out!

I am struggling to leave this bad review because I want Cakehead to do well. Their food is delicious. However, the service is TERRIBLE. Worst customer service I have ever received. I have been a few times a year since they opened. I have called to inquire about grooms cakes and birthday cakes. They dont like to answer the phone, call you back, or speak to you when you walk in the bakery. Ive decided to take my service elsewhere from now on.

Food delicious, but service is terrible. When you walk into the shop the people working there just look at you like "why are you bothering me?" I thought maybe it was a generational thing, but Im only in my mid 30s. I need a cake for my husbands birthday, and I am debating whether to bother. In fact, I came across this page looking for other bakeries in Spartanburg.

We hired Cakehead for our wedding and gave them a picture of exactly what we wanted. What was delivered was not only frozen to the point where it broke the knife cutting it, but it looked NOTHING like what we ordered. If I could change one thing about my wedding it would be the cake. I wouldnt recommend Cakehead to make a muffin basket.

Theyre occasionally brought into our office by sales staff. Its a good selection with good taste. Im not a huge cupcake usually, but I like them. Just not a fan of paying so much for one cupcake.

I came here once. I bought a cookie for my son while I tried the coffee. It was pretty good. I would go back more often but its pretty far from my house and I dont head to downtown Spartanburg much.

These ladies know how to bake!! I love the Trail Mix cookies. Their home made ice cream is delicious too and dont get me started on the brioche.
