Unfortunately, I have to give Island Chrysler 1 Star. I have dealt with the Service Department 3 or 4 times, prior to this experience, and got excellent service. Right from the start, the person I spoke with on the phone had a horrible attitude, which didnt change when I actually got to the Dealership. I went for an oil change and tire rotation, and asked for them to check a few other things out and give me a quote on prices. When she called to tell me what else should be fixed and gave me a quote on how much it would be, I was astonished. 5 months prior, I spent a few thousand dollars to have ANY and EVERYTHING fixed on my truck that they could possibly find. They changed the front brakes and roters, among other things. NOW they are telling me I need new roters, pads, and shoes all the way around. Wouldnt they have done all of that before, if they were that bad? Especially when a customer is basically waving cash in air, telling them to FIND anything needing to be changed/fixed/etc.? Their quote was $900. So I called around to get some different quotes, resulting in $200 to $400 differences (cheaper). When I called to tell her I would be picking my truck back up, she of course gave me even worse bad attitude. So I went and got my truck and left. Ten minutes later she called me and said I left without paying for my oil change and tire rotation. Seriously?! When I told her I was taking the truck elsewhere, never did she ask or confirm or tell me that the oil change and rotation was already done THERE. I take responsibility for totally forgetting that thats what I needed done in the first place. But after the crazy high price I got for the other things needing to be done, I was ready to get my truck out of that place. Common sense would tell anybody that it should have been established with the customer before proceeding with any service there, that I still wanted ANYTHING done at their place of business. She told me she included the price of that service in with the total quote she gave me. That was a bold face lie. But I told her I would be back to pay for it. THEN, a manager called to ask me what was going on. I explained to him the situation. He then only talked to me about competitive pricing, disregarding the fact that I told him the other two quotes I got from businesses, not even a mile away from there. When I tried to speak, he continued to talk over me. If he really cared about what the problem was, he would have listened to what I said and taken it into consideration, instead of disregarding my complaints/concerns. So, yes, one star for Island Chrysler. Bring the old staff back, and Ill go back. Everyone knows its hard to trust a place to bring your vehicles to get worked on. A dealership, of all places, will most likely be more expensive for certain things. I have willingly paid extra to have good service done to my truck. So this really isnt about money. Its about customer service and how they treated me. Attitude means everything to me. Sorry not sorry.

My name is Tim Norris,I bought a brand new 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab on 6/16/2014 that had a small dent in the hood, the salesman told me that they had moved all the trucks to the other side of there lot and parked them under the trees there and that 3 trucks including mine got damaged from pine cones or whatever falling from the trees, so they fixed the dent in my hood. What they failed to tell me is that the truck was damaged on the top of the roof. I decided to wash my new truck 2 weeks after i bought it and I crawled into the bed of the truck so I could wash the top of the roof and in doing so, I noticed something on the roof of the cab, it was touch-up paint, in was about 1.25 inches long and about 1/4 inch wide and it was built up about 1/8 of an inch high. As I washed it it popped off leaving bare metal. As you can imagine I was and still am highly ticked off because they tried to hide the damage on this brand new truck. I called the dealership that day and spoke to one of the sales managers and he said it would be fixed and he would have someone call me Monday. well its Monday and no one called so I called Chrysler Group and they called the dealership with me on the phone, I talked to the salesman and he said for me to talk to one of the sales managers in which I did and all he did was give me the run around and then basically called me a liar when I told him that the rear view mirror was also scratched, he then told me he would call me back in 15 minutes, well its now been 15 hours nd I still have not heard from him. A 2 hours I called the dealership back and ask to speak to the general manager and was told I couldnt, but was transferred to the general sales manager instead, in which I got his voice mail, I left him a message about what was wrong and ask him to please call me, and guess what, I have not heard a thing from him either. They damaged the truck, tried to cover it up and failed to tell me and now they are giving me the run around, I will be contacting Chrysler again today and if something is not done, then I will contact my lawyer and I will also contact the BBB today. EVERYONE do yourselves a favor and stay away from Island Chrysler in Pawleys Island, SC

Where do I start? Well, first my family needed a larger vehicle and the vehicle type we were needing was difficult to find. If it hadnt been so hard to locate, I think I would have run away screaming from this place. The people working there are just unbelievable (well the ones I dealt with anyway). Our sales person wouldnt tell me how much they were giving me for my trade. They claim they give top dollar for your trade, yet I got less from them then I did from a previous dealer we had visited. THey were almost secrative about the entire process, until the end. No one seemed to know anything and wasnt able to answer my questions until we were wisked away to the finance department. The people in there were at least knowledgable and went out of their way to help answer the questions I feel the sales person should have answered already. We got a call a few days later from the finance department and we went back to redo our loan for my benefit. Ok, thats awesome. Then the wrong paperwork went to my state so I had to pay more in taxes (thats a bummer). The dealer was to fix two things with the car at their cost. I got a call from the sales guy and he actually asked me to do the work myself and they would give me the money back. I have NEVER been asked to do that in my life. Our van hadnt even been cleaned out, it smelled of smoke and had stains everywhere. However, we paid soemone to clean it up and it looks as good as new. I just cant believe how poor our sales person was, that we paid a fee to have the vehicle serviced and that it hadnt even been cleaned out. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.
