Horrible customer service - ditto on the comment below that these guys do not answer their phone. Called for 1-1/2 hours today while I was at work - got someone in the Geek Squad department and came back a couple of times and then on hold for an eternity - no one picked up. Bought a washer last weekend. Told the staff person when I bought the washer that I needed it delivered on Saturday morning due to prior commitments on Tuesday afternoon. Then finally after 4 to 5 calls to the 888 number, I got the dimwit who was supposedly head of the delivery department on the phone and he told the delivery was Saturday afternoon because otherwise, it would mess up their drivers route. He then insinuated that I could always return the product and I told him that was probably a good idea and then he started going through some big process and I told him that I did not have time for that. I then decided to call back to see if they could deliver and I would leave the rental unit unlocked. BUT GUESS WHAT - THEY DID NOT ANSWER THE PHONE - even after this dimwit told me he would check into that issue. Finally again after several calls to the 888 #, getting someone off-shore, I finally got customer service with corporate. After being on the phone with her for a good 40+ miinutes (while driving between Aiken and Lexington), I told her that I was about to lose her (AT&T cell coverage on I-20 drops you) and asked her to shake out the details and get back to me. Well - AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER and no return phone call!! My rating - an ABSOLUTE ZERO - sales folks are OK - but their delivery and other customer service is in the DITCH There should be a ZERO rating Meant to note that I have been trying to get this matter resolved since 2 PM this afternoon - it is NOW 7 PM Run fast and hard away from this store - I am a PLATINUM Best Buy customer - and this is the absolute WORST store in their chain. As Warren Buffet so honestly surmises, when you walk into a store and you like what you see perhaps investing in the company may be a good move. I am going to take that advice in the opposite direction and sale the stock short - with this type of customer service, they are soon going to go the way of Circuit City.

Went in to make a small purchase and be one my way. When I walked to the check out lanes no one was there and the security guard asked me to go to "store pick up and returns" area to check out. After waiting for several minutes I saw several employees just walking around and I asked one of them if they would be opening a check out lane since its a little ridiculous to make their customers who want to check out wait for people who are talking with geek squad or doing pre orders. He said no you have to wait and preceeded to ring up someone who wasnt even standing in line. Then the young lady working the "pick up" line started stated the following to the customer she was ringing up... "Some people get mad they have to wait to check out but its not my fault, they can get over it. I did my job today at least I showed up and didnt call out." I told the girl I really appreciated her attitude and she stated very loudly thank you sir I hope you have a good day. It amazes me that this location allows their employees to talk to their customers however they want. I made a complaint to the store manager and their corporate office and honestly Im thinking of making a complaint with the BBB. People really dont need to be in the job of customer service when they think all they have to do is show up to work. Too bad Im not able to post no stars...

Was there this past Saturday Oct.52014 to speak to someone at The Geek squad, witch I didnt get his name.. The person that I spoke to, once I explained what happened with my cell phone, just flat out said that they couldnt help. never took the phone in his hands to inspect it or even make a attempt to resolve my problem, then he goes behind the curtain and some other guy flat out again says "NO" and just said if you like you can cancel your Geek Squad Protection because we are unable to do it here... There ability to resolve or provide any type of customer service is to say the least very poor... The guy that I spoke to first made a face like he actually enjoyed just saying NO... Beware of the so called Geek Protection plan, unfortunately they didnt go into detail about whats covered its a waste of money, next time I will take my chances with the cell phone carriers insurance. By the reps demeanor and smirk I can say I felt like his response and lack of caring was racially motivated... Its sad but we are in the South were there still people with the same ignorant views of the past. I had been a customer and big fan of this company when I lived up North, Im here to stay so I will take my business else were and share this bad experience with any that says there going to shop at this location in Lexington.

I bought a tablet from here for my daughter about seven years ago I paid for the 2 year warranty which was about 90$ they said it would be covered over any kind of spills and breakage no matter what that it would be replaced or fixed. The screen cracked once and they fixed it about six months later it cracked again was worse than the first break was cracked on front and back and wouldnt cut on but the point is the girl assured me no matter what it would be fixed and she knew i was buying it for a child. took it back they absolutely refused to fix it keep in mind the tablet was only 129$ the warranty was 90.... These people will lie right to your face, horrible customer service. The reason I am just now leaving this review is because i was online looking for my daughter a birthday present (a phone) i came across one on best buy she wanted and i told her no we would get it somewhere else even if we have to pay 200$ more because seven years ago I was broke and i spent my little bit of money on that tablet did best buy care no they basically shoved me out the door and said oh well.. I said Id never go there again and I havent been back, never will. Save yourself the trouble DO NOT go to best buy.

Dear Mike, Purchased an XM radio this week past. I also set up an appt to have it installed 2/18 at 2PM. Dropped the car at 1:30p and went into the store to purchase and iPad2 and another computer for our real estate office. This is the second one in 7 months. The item we wanted was DISCONTINUED and I asked for the store manager on duty because the sales staff could only offer 10% off on the floor model. Since I had all these purchases going on, approx $1200 in sales) the store floor manager Darrell would not give $100 off on the floor model that everyone has touched and played with. I asked to see someone over him and he said, "She will only tell you the same thing that I am telling you. So I returned my XM radio, picked up my car and moved on to Office Depot where I purchased a same model for $120 less and it was not a floor model. I have lived in Lexington for 20 years and own a local business myself where I intend to place a flyer letting my patrons know how this local Best Buy treats their local people. Also we are associated with ERA Realty and intend to share our experience with the over 100 agents in this area. Thank you, Scott and Lynne Cutting
