Scheduling is a problem. Produce is usually always fresh. But expensive. Having been to other fresh grocers I notice a difference in the quality of their selection. If you go there in the afternoon or evening its a guarantee they will have no one working in the bakery dept. You wait there for an hour or more for the management of the store to finally come over to service you. And the management is not familiar with the dept. So they know where nothing is. Nor do they understand or know the codes in the book. And if this were an isolated incident I would think nothing of it. But having been there sometimes twice per week or more in the afternoon on different days you will find no one in this dept. Whether its an issue where they simply forgot to schedule an employee there for the day after three (which was the case more than once) and the management had to pull someone from the grilled chicken area to work that dept. Or there is one worker on schedule who decides they just dont feel like being in the dept... Leading to a 45 minute wait with them calling overhead telling them they are needed in that dept. Its a struggle. I order pretty much the same thing every week. And not once has there been a worker actually in the bakery after 3pm. Other than that issue its an ok market. All the other depts. Are pretty organized. I get in and get out. The lines move vet quickly. Stock is rotated on a regular basis. So if you never have a nerd of the bakery or visit early in the morning you will never have a problem.

A change of face is what was needed for this once prominent Pathmark supermarket. I really love the addition of the lighting in all interior areas of Fresh Grocer, and the little café seating area— which accommodates patrons while taking part in their shopping experience. With the addition of grilled chicken and spare-ribs, local and out-of-towners can now enjoy the taste of these items – paired along with a set of fresh vegetables from the produce department, or enjoy a purchase from the deli or seafood department to make the perfect stress-free dinner combo. Pros: Took some time for Fresh Grocer to obtain a liquor license, but the wait was worth the time to catch up to New Jersey beer and wine selling privileges’ – which have made their supermarkets a favorite among locals – that have enhanced their shopping experience. Cons: The tireless wait to be served in the checkout areas are despicable, especially since the volume of business that Fresh Grocer profit is obtained from its local customers should be reprimanded by all standards – relating to the overwhelming needs of each and every loyal and devoted Fresh Grocer shopper. Wish List: Would like to see Fresh Grocer hire additional cashiers to cover peak-times, and I would also wish that one day that this supermarket chain would hire baggers to assist the elderly, and its handicapped individuals who are less capable of handling and bagging their groceries. I do consider it shameful that Fresh Grocer has so much to offer, but so little relating to check-out times.

This review will be for the entire supermarket and not just one particular Department. I frequent the cook prepared food department often. The supermarket is very clean. Everything is organized accordingly I seem not to have trouble finding any throughout the whole supermarket. The produce is very good. The fish always seem fresh. And they have a diverse selection of different spices and ethnic products that you can actually get from around the world. They have a really good organic section and very good Halal kosher section. You cant get this type of selection in other markets and I frequent this Market although I passed two supermarket to get to this one 4 kosher meats hair youre prepared food department by far is one of the best prepared food department that you can get in any Supermarket that I have ever been in. The one problem that this area has a very disorganized. I easily get over this because the food is really good. And the hoagies that they prepare is one of the best hoagies you can get in Philadelphia let alone a supermarket. I definitely recommend this Market to anybody. Also another really good thing about this supermarket is they have a beer garden. And you can purchase alcohol in the garden.in Pennsylvania, being able to purchase beer in a supermarket is a big deal.

This is the best market in the area. The store is clean, the prices are great and the selection is wonderful. I was able to find everything from my favorite energy drinks to boneless/skinless chicken thighs at $2.50 for a pack of 6. They often have musical entertainment in the cafe area for you to enjoy if you choose to eat in. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dont leave the store without at least one slice of the sweet potato pie - it is really scrumptious.

Fresh Grocer is a nice store. The hot food sections are awesome, as are their huge custom made hoagies. Their pantry/non-perishables arent quite as varied as Shoprite/Giant. Sometimes I have to go to other stores for some "particulars." But for the most part I shop there weekly. Didnt give them 5 stars because I have to get some soups and sugar-free cookies that my husband likes at the other stores. However, that doesnt keep me from shopping at Fresh Grocer.

What a great store. Its gorgeous & the employees are friendly & helpful. The selection offers everything from typical grocery items (at great prices!) to healthy & organic to niche (like a paleo aisle). There is also a beer garden, a fantastic sitting area with a fire place where you can sit and eat some of their great prepared items (like a salad bar, chicken, hoagies or sushi). Im surprised at the great prices for a gorgeous upscale offering.

Went today for a honey turkey hoagie and the young lady who made my hoagie said she had to get more honey turkey cut. She comes back with lunch meat and I asked her 3xs and my husband also asked her if it was honey turkey and she said yes. Another worker brought out honey turkey and I told her that was the turkey and she insisted it wasnt. Well I get home and guess what its not honey turkey.

Their grill has the best soul food. This is my go-to grocery store. Its clean, has a stellar fresh food section, sushi, made to order sandwiches, an organic food section, bulk nuts, a to-go beer selection, and live music in the cafe on certain days of the week.
