I went to Michaels today and bought 4 items. Im a rewards member but it didnt come up in the system. My 20% off coupon wasnt applied after the cashier told me it was. I showed her the coupon in my email on my phone. It wouldnt scan. She told me it was applied but I did the math outside and it wasnt. It wasnt on the receipt either. I bought a 2 pack of Dylusions Spray Ink for $9.98 and its $6.99 at Jo-Ann Fabrics. A roll of masking tape was $3.99! Its $1.00 at the dollar store a few doors down. Michaels is WAAAAAY over-priced. Everything I bought today is cheaper elsewhere and some places have coupons on top of the lower price. The only time Ill be going to the store is if I use a 50% off 1 item coupon. Other than that coupon and the "artists loft" generic brand, they are over priced.

I usually love this store, but today an angry, older red head who works here insulted and embarrassed my teenager daughter when she asked for something the woman wasnt familiar with. I would have appreciated her, saying that she couldnt help my daughter rather than insult her. Now my daughter no longer wants to shop at Michaels. When I told managers about the irritable clerk, they were very kind, so Ill be back, but be careful asking a grumpy, older red haired woman for assistance.
