An oasis of healthy options, good coffee and free wifi in Lancaster County. Staff were uniformly competent yet laid back. The menu has excellent omelettes as well as good vegetarian options. Our airbnb did not serve breakfast, so we ate here every morning during our 4-day stay. I tried the avocado & tomato on toast, the fruit, granola and yogurt parfait, and the ginger and pumpkin scones. My partner tried the omelettes and breakfast croissants. Everything was excellent. If you like massive sweet sticky buns, high-cholesterol, high-fat, high-calorie breakfasts, nearly every other place in Lancaster will cater to your needs. You can even get some of that here. But if you like healthy breakfast fare, a relaxed atmosphere and good coffee, this is the place for you.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Lots, and lots of seating but the small tables are very wobbly and were bothersome. Their mocha is very good and puts the big chain coffee house to shame, unfortunately I didnt much care for their coffee which may actually be a me issue with their house brew as I didnt find any one that agreed with me in my disappointment. In fact I was treated poorly by my company and was told to "shut up!", and was told if I hadnt let my coffee get cold they would have gladly tossed said coffee at "my ugly face". Its a great place to get work done and they have some nice food options too.

If you dont mind eating brunch surrounded by hipsters while listening to what sounds like the electronica remix of a Pure Moods cd, the food is fresh and locally sourced. Breakfast took about 40 minutes to come out. The food is well seasoned, the coffee is quite good if you like it on the strong side. They gave us dry white toast instead of the wheat we had requested, and you would have to stand in line at the counter to get a refill on drip coffee.

Sunday evening at speckled hen with the kids. Our favorite coffee and apple sauce pouch shop. Except we are drinking another coffee shops latte because speckled hen closed at 2?!! Although the employees may not like this comment i would give 5 stars if i had a spec coffee and my kids had a pouch! Fantastic family environment and superb eats, treats and of course their coffee is second to none. Please extend the Sunday hours.

I love going to Speckled Hen. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of food and handmade drinks. It is always very clean and the service is quick. Breakfast is by far my favorite meal...their eggs are delicious. They also sell bags of the coffee they serve in store and are kind enough to grind it for you if you cant do it at home. FYI grill closes an hour before close.

One of the best spots in Lancaster County. In no way could I be considered a "food critic" but, from my three years in Chicago eating some of the best local eats, Speckled Hen has provided me the same quality if not better than I found in Chicago. They not only provide fantastic food and drinks but also a great atmosphere and fantastic customer service. You MUST eat here, you wont regret it.

My favorite local coffee shop. SH offers a wide variety of breakfast choices (available all day); my favorites are the fruit and yogurt parfait and the Salsa Omelette. My go to coffee is the cold brew, but I sometimes switch it up for a smoothie. They work hard to bring the freshest food to their customers, and rely heavily on local providers.

The food is amazing. There is something to service your every craving and the dining area is comfy and cute. Outdoor seating is great and you might even see a neighbor cat walk around. However, it is not a cheap eat, prepare to shell out a little cash. Totally worth it though, delicious and comfortable.

The food there is tasty, but sadly as I do take out and make special requests like paying extra for substituting one thing for another. I have to verify my food is correct before leaving. So with this happening almost 50% of the time. I expect that of fast food places, not a small town eatery.

This place has wonderful food and great customer service! Highly recommend! We waited a little extra because their software went down and they lost their orders, without us complaining, they gave us a gift card for our longish wait. They treat their customers right.

Incredible owners. Welcoming staff. Locally sourced food. Even the coffee is roasted in Lancaster. Gourmet Omelettes, quiches, scones, et alia. The type of place that once you stumble upon it, u make trips to it, even if it is out of the way.

Simply the best Cafe in Lancaster county! Been there more times than I can count and Ive never had a negative experience or something I didnt like to eat or drink. Their food in particular is over and above what you typically get from a cafe.

Cozy yet spacious atmosphere with big windows and lots of natural light. Ideal place to strike up a good convo with friends or lose yourself in a book. Everything Ive had on the menu hits the spot nicely. Talonmae is one talented cook!

One of my all time favorite places to grab coffee when Im in strasburg. The very friendly atmosphere is welcoming and warm. The food is good and the coffee is great! I love the fact that they use local ingredients in the food as well.

The breakfast potatos were well done and super herby. They took the time to dial in the shot when it didnt look right to them. And the espresso was very fun very bright to start and finished like burnt carmel very interesting.

We stopped here between Lancaster and a train attraction. The food was delicious, and all of the vegetarian and vegan folks found a scrumptious lunch. It was not inexpensive, priced more as a restaurant than a coffee shop.

Food was good but slow. My sides came 15 minutes after my dish (and after I had to remind a waiter). Our coffee never came. I had to go to the counter and remind them about it. Would have been 5 stars if not for the service

The Speckled Hen is rustic meets modern. Very good food and service. Their Black Bean Burger is amazing! They have a great kids area and nice indoor and outdoor seating areas as well. I will definitely go back again.

Lemon poppyseed bread with a crunchy crust baked on site -- superyummy. Sweet potato fries fresh and savory, soft and crispy -- superb. Acoustic music sometimes fierce, sometimes lyrical, always excellent.

Great place to get amazing coffee. They serve Passenger coffee and also have a range of teas. Full espresso bar and v60 pour over coffee. Great staff and good coffee make this place pretty cool.
