NOW HEAR THIS! ADULTS W ADD! Im not kidding! Ive read on lots of ADD sites about how sick to death people w ADD are of being treated like criminals, about how every last time that they need to pick up meds, its a grueling ordeal! I am so very familiar w THAT! Hopkins Pharmacy is a Fairy Tale of a drugstore that you thought only existed in your DREAMS (though if youre dreaming about pharmacies, unless theyre nightmares.. it might be TIME to admit- ah, forget it!)! HONEST, at this pharmacy, theres no hoop jumping involved when you pick up your meds (usually once a month?)! You simply just PICK UP YOUR MEDS! No one squints their eyes at you and says curtly, "I need to see a photo ID" EVERY LAST TIME! You wont NEED your photo ID more than once (or fingerprinting & blood typing and pee samples- so many of the pharmacy workers at the big pharmacies are ego-tripping NAZIS!)! I always went to CVS or Rite Aid; half the time, theyre out of stock when it comes to most ADD meds, anyway, if you havent noticed! I know that, for a lot of us w ADD, it feels truly shameful, when its time to refill your ADD medication; if there ISNT a stigma- oh well, of course there IS! It cant just be my imagination; thereve been times when Ive run off & go bawl in my car (a BUNCHA times) just bc Ive needed my script filled. Ive always been treated as though MY dreams consisted of whole pharmacy villages, on pharmacy islands! Other pharmacies, whether Id been to that particular store before or not (it was always within the SAME chain!), wanted to check w my insurance and/or call my doctor (even though my Rxs are written on actual Rx paper) first, before theyd BELIEVE that I deserved to have my script filled. Im not a total rube, Im very aware that a lot of people who have no need of these meds think theyre FUN! People steal, abuse, sell them, or whatever (its happened to me, at my work! Right out of my purse! My own nephew did this on a family trip to the shore, even! A PHARMACIST at Rite-Aid PURPOSELY shorted me (he got busted by the BOSS pharmacist, in front of my eyes!) 10 Vyvanse pills!)! Some people use ADD meds strictly for fun, but just bc Im buying these particular meds does NOT mean that Im having a big party w them (I WISH)! Ive actually APOLOGIZED when handing over my script! Im so sick of THAT- I KNOW IM NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG! YOURE NOT, EITHER! I mean, the people whod come in for clean needles, while I was standing there, waiting and WAITING (have you seen the eye-rolling and the huffing, at those people? By pharmacy employees? Ive heard them making FUN of these folks!) dont deserve to be judged by a pharmacist, either. NOBODY does. The HUMANS at Hopkins actually, truly, do NOT treat me like Iike a crack addict, EVERY time I have to fill my script! Even though some of my meds are class whatever type huge deals- this place is a far, FAR cry from CVS! I didnt even know drugstores like this place existed, for some reason! Then, when I moved here & wasnt sure where to go for my meds, a neighbor recommended them. Truly, I barely had to wait one minute- no, believe me! I handed them 4 Rxs and asked if I should just come back tomorrow, and the guy said, "Oh NO, just give us a minute..." and sure enough.... its a MIRACLE, I keep waiting for something to go horribly wrong and it DOESNT (knock wood)! Anyone who doesnt have a regular pharmacy, and lives anywhere in the vicinity should scramble over here to this place, next time you need a script filled. Or some band-aids, even! The place is staffed strictly with human beings & your days of feeling guilty and creepy all bc of a medicine you need are OVER!

After using the big name stores for my medications most of my life, I switched to Hopkins about six months ago. The staff is excellent, the prices are excellent and the service is a throwback to when people on the other side of the counter cared about each and every customer. The service and attitude makes me want to give them my money! I dont see how places like CVS or Rite Aid continue to attract business after going to Hopkins. The pharmacists working there are amazingly fast and have answered every question I have had... with a smile. I use a good amount of supplements and they have them, too! The prices on those products are equally inexpensive and theyve guided me, with their knowledge, through those purchases, also. Theyve made a customer for life! Thanks, Hopkins!!!

The friendliest, most knowledgeable, customer accessible, non-judgemental, caring, best pharmasists I have ever had the privilege of knowing. The staff as well is beyond top knotch, making every customer feel like family. Ive never had an issue with out of stock medication, and if there has been an issue with insurance, they spent the time to help me resolve the issue, not once acting like they were too busy or annoyed by the inconvenience. In the age of Big Pharma , Governmental oversight on dispensing, and the persecution of pharmacists in conjunction with doctors who dare to believe they know and actually care and want what is best for the patient, Hopkins Pharmacy feels like a trusted old friend.

This locally owned pharmacy operates like drug stores should. The owners are on site and the employees are from the area... tho confidentiality is never in doubt. Prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. They go the extra mile to call physician offices, insurance and drug companies for refill authorizations, Rx plan questions and any other inquires to keep costs to the customers low and to be certain medications are correct. They keep a nice OTC inventory and will order whatever you need. A Best of Philly!

No Brainer : ): Recently, I was prescribed a long term medication. Without, presently carrying health insurance, I was uncertain of how I was going to budget this new expense. I declined my physicians request for calling in my meds and informed her that I needed to shop around to see who offered a better price. Whoa!! CVS wanted $125.94 vs. Hopkins $26.74 Hmmm! Ok, then I meet the Pharmacist and staff... This my friends, is a "no brainer"! 5stars and thankful I found them.

Great local pharmacy. Big chain drugstore sold us respiratory medicine but dont carry item to administer it, told us go to med supply store. Well, theyre all closed for weekend on Friday evening. I was lucky to find this pharmacy online and find they DO sell what I needed. When I went to get item the pharmacist, Craig, even demonstrated how to use it. Grateful to have found the place. Good people and nice personal service.

well meaning people, however theyre absolutely incompetent. They have no regard for a customers time. They seem to wait until the customer is at their desk to resolve any confusions or issues. They take no initiative to facilitate the experience.

Great service, but prices seem higher - no doubt because its an independent store and not a chain. Worth the visit.
