My wife and I entered the store with intent to exchange our U.S. Dollars for a new TV. Best Buy did not wish this to happen. We visited the shiny new store on a Monday. During the first 20 minutes, we found it odd that none of the many employees swarming around the TV sales area approached us. Did we smell badly? Usually we have to fight away electronic store employees like bees at a picnic. Very odd indeed. We continued to browse the TVs for another 20 minutes and narrowed our search. At last our debating and examining led us to a magnificent new TV! Wonder of wonders! It was spectacular. Suddenly we were faced with the reality that not a single employee was in sight. We were all alone in the back of the beautifully lit store. My first thought was that the well-trained employees must be attending to other customers. I gave my best "Customer wants to buy this" vibe to a few far-off employees glancing my way, even staring at them uncomfortably. This didnt work, so we went in search of our TV-bearing messiah. Suddenly we found them! They were helping (?) an elderly couple. Three employees gathered at the register, faithfully assisting the technologically impaired. We waited patiently at the register for many minutes, gazing at the three with our TV-coveting look of hopefulness. Oddly, this had no effect. One of the employees, blind to our plight, went back to stocking shelves. I approached our polo-clad, shelf-stocking savior. "Sir," I said. "We wish to give to your company many U.S. Dollars in exchange for goods." (not my actual words) We giddily accompanied our new friend to our new TV. Our mirth was broken when he declared that it was sold-out. He offered his apology and was on his way. What a foul twist of luck. It suddenly occurred to us that we had spent an hour in this store, and spoken to only one employee -- who we had to confront ourselves. We weighed the time cost of finding an in-stock TV and an employee to aid us, with our desire to do anything else. We left the store. Things that I learned from this: 1) Lancaster Best Buy employees fear money. The smell drives them away. They are like gazelles of the African plain; traveling in packs and stampeding when frightened. 2) Lancaster Best Buy does not care about your time. Maybe you will have a better experience, if you can find someone to assist you.

I visited this store to attempt purchasing a new phone as a gift. As my Verizon account is a bit complicated, I wasnt sure if they would be able to help me. I called the store while on my way there (a 20 minute drive) to see if they could even help me. I was on hold for the 20 minute drive and just hung up upon arrival. Strike one. Upon walking into the store, I passed 3 workers who did their best to avoid making eye contact with me. No one was to be on the phone at customer service so I guess they just didnt feel like answering my call. Strike two. Finally, I approached the mobile area to talk to an employee about the phone I wanted to get. Both of the available associates were helping other customers at the time (understandable) so I got in line with one person in front of me. After about 10 minutes. The person ahead of me was helped, and I was told by the second associate that I was next in line. I waited another five minutes after which he approached and immediately helped a customer who had just walked into the store. Strike three. Visit this location if youre looking for a good way to waste your time. I just walked out and will not be visiting again.

customer service was great, people friendly and willing to help you. Today it all went downhill. I returned to the store to return an item that didn't work very well. One line was In Store Pick-up next line was Returns/Exchanges. Store employee at the Returns/Exchanges didn't even say HI or even make eye contact. I was standing there and she walks away. So I'm standing there for about 5-10 minutes as she is running back and forth through the plastic curtain. Two store employees standing with their backs to me shooting the breeze, and another one walks right past me and gets on the computer next to my station. I finally ask is this the return/exchange line and the one store employee asks what I have to return and I show him my item. He says yup, walks away. About 2-3 minutes later guy gets on a register and asks to help me and I ask to return something and show him my item and receipt. He says "Oh you have to go over to electronics to return that". So you mean to tell me I stood here for 10-15 minutes in the wrong line? Seems like as a customer I am an inconvenience to them now. Definitely take your business to Amazon or Newegg.

The people say that the sales people never ever talk to you or you get ignored... i have been in that store a lot.. and never have i once seen a customer not be greeted within minutes of walking intot the different departments. I also get a kick out of those of you who think that they are the only customers in the store.. i have had to wait while they are busy and you know what? It was worth the wait. These guys and girls have given me the best customer service i have ever recieved at a big box store. Unlike the goons over at hh gregg. I walked in there when they first opened... walked around for a good 45 minutes and not one of their sales zombies said a word... I also got to overhear one of their female tv sales people being very rude to a customer when she was asked to explaing a feature of the tv. It was almost like she seemed bothered by his question. Take time to look around and think before you go internet ranting about how best buy sucks... you just wind up sounding stupid.

The initial attendent was great however we both forgot the receipt as we were having a good conversation. My wife and I proceeded to leave the store we were stopped by reception with a demand for the receipt. After 15 frantic minutes of trying to find the receipt and no one at best buy making any effort to assist us my wife went back to the register and found it. We were the only ones pulled over to have our bags checked and I can only wonder if it was due to my wife speaking another language to our son. I did ask for the manager at that point as I was fuming and did say it was "f..king BS to be treated like this. His only response was to kick us out of the store. Well when you are treated like you stole something and no one made any effort to assist us in locating the receipt even though we asked for help even though they never gave us the receipt in the first place. Will never buy at best buy again..

This store is managed VERY poorly! My parents bought a Flat Screen TV from this store ONE WEEK before Black Friday 2009- It was promised to be delivered the Saturday after Thanksgiving. When 5:30 PM, Saturday, came and went with no sign of the new TV- my mother called the store, only to be assured that they deliver until 9:30PM (YEAH RIGHT) and that the TV would be there as promised. Well, needless to say Saturday and Sunday came and went with no sign of the TV. Only to find out that the store was OUT OF STOCK because they oversold them on Black Friday (One week after my parents PAID FOR THEIR TV). They were then promised to have it the following Tuesday. Well, today is Tuesday and STILL NO TV!!!! Needless to say, if you think that you are paying a good price for a decent product, THINK TWICE because once you have paid for your product there is no guarantee that you will actually receive it from this store!
