I love Wegmans, but this particular one did not provided the "Wegmans Experience " during my shopping experience. I did a walk through the bakery, produce and seadood and they only had a few basic items on hand and produce was not as fresh as other Wegmans I usually frequent. Also the staff working in the aisles was not friendly nor helpful... I also ventured to the food bar and again, only had the same things you could find at any other food bar. So I decided to go and get a pizza ( because no one cannot mess pizza up...) and my pizza was undercooked, soggy and just plain unedible. The only positive things I can say about this particular store, the coffee shop was excellent, as always, and I was able to find Wegmans products on hand. But going to this particular store was like going to any other supermarket that just had a fancy makeover. Customers that frequent Wegmans usually shop there because of the variety of products, product, meats and bakery that you may not be able to find in another supermarket AND the knowledge of their staff in the event of the customer needing guidance in their purchases for making an everyday meal special. I will continue to go to Wegmans, but I will not go out of my way to go to this particular store until they have their game together...

I use to think Wegmans was a great store. Now not so much. My husband purchased some Wegmans Genoa Salami...He was going to have a sandwich and it tasted bad. He then realized that it smelled rancid and he felt sick. I contacted Wegmans corporate by email. They said they would have someone locally contact me. Tonight I was called by the purported Manager of the Deli who told me that their packages say that the product is only guaranteed fresh for 3 days. He also said that cured meats start to go bad after you cut them so curing does not prolong their freshness. He was very curt and basically told me that it was my problem. I was very nice and simply said I wasnt making a claim just informing corporate that they should be aware of this as I felt a store like Wegmans would want to know if something like this occurred. PLEASE NOTE I CHECKED OTHER PACKAGES FROM WEGMANS DELI AT CONCORDVILLE, PA AND THERE IS ONLY ONE DATE. THE DATE IS WHEN IT IS PACKAGED. THERE ARE NO OTHER DATES AS THIS DELI MANAGER STATED. NOT ONLY DID HE TRY TO MAKE THIS ENTIRE THING MY FAULT HE ALSO TOLD A BOLDFACE LIE. Because of this very poorly handled matter by Wegmans I am no longer going to shop there. I have shared this with my friends and family and also posted on FACEBOOK.

I was initially excited about this new Wegmans, but am somewhat disappointed after shopping there for a few months. Here are a few comments: (1) The seafood department is terrible. I bought cod filet twice and both times they were fishy. I bought clam once as bait for fishing. They were either dead or half dead, not even usable as bait. I bought mussels twice and they were ok. This is probably the worst seafood market in this area and I do not buy from them anymore. Whole food is much better. (2) The vegi and fruits are ok, many selections. (3) The meat department is ok, although selection is limited. The Meat House nearby is better. (4) The bakery department is big but the quality is so so. They dont even have good crossiant. Whole Food bakery department is much better. (5) Coffee selection is limited. (6) The beer department is pretty good. We had high expectation before but are not impressed at this point. They really need to do something with that seafood department ( one star). What they sell right now is not acceptable.

I love Wegmans for all the same reasons you probably do, but the overall approach to SERVICE in this store seems to be lacking. So much seems to happen by thoughtless rote, 1) no love from the sandwich-making-lady who mangled my sub, 2) no help from a clerk in the aisle in my quest for tea (it turns out this store doesnt have a tea dept. but this clerk had no idea), 3) the food at their Pub is ok, though not as good as weve enjoyed at other Wegmans (2/2 with indifferent waitstaff), and 4) each time I use the open dining area (three times so far), I have noticed staff (usually two women near the utensils/trash cans) deep in private conversation, ignoring struggling customers such as a young mother with her hands full with kids/babies and letting rowdy teenagers disrupt other patrons. These are disappointments compared to what Ive seen in pretty much every other Wegmans.

I refrained from visiting Wegmans during the opening week because I knew they would be busy but a month later, the parking lot is still a nightmare and everyone is still blocking everyone else. Maybe the lanes in the parking lot need to be a bit wider. Anyway, as soon as I stepped into Wegmans, it was instantly familiar because Id been to other Wegmans in Malvern, Warrington, and Collegeville. Its basically the same thing - a supermarket, a prepared foods area, and a dining area. At lunchtime, the checkout line was a bit slow but the dining area was comfortable. Only minor issue is I wish theyd installed another drinking water dispenser in the dining area. Also, as with the other Wegmans locations, I think the hot foods bar, at $8.99/lb, is rather pricey.

My first experience at Wegmans was 12 years ago when they opened in Downingtown, PA. I found the prices to be very high in comparison to other stores, but I took a chance and used their service to cater a party. The food was marginal and overpriced. As a result, I did not return. Fast forward 12 years with the opening in Glen Mills. Several of my friends are Wegmans "groupies" and constantly rave about the experience. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt and stopped by tonight to pick up a few things. The over-priced salmon was lousy, the broccoli was limp and far from fresh. On a positive note, the coffee and cleaning products I purchased were priced appropriately. The staff was courteous and helpful. Bottom line, Im sticking with Giant.

Short story : I spoke to a Wegmans employee at 11:00 am as to when their food bar would be stocked. I was told that it would be fully stocked in 15 minutes. Fast forward to 11:45: Food bar is less than half stocked. Spoke to customer service to which their reply was : "Sorry, I cant help that". Wegmans is normally a "Go-To" place for a decent fast-food buffet and customer service. Not this time : Failure on both counts ! Sent an e-mail to corporate about this situation with no reply. Seriously ? Take a few minutes and go up the road to another establishment. I understand that sometimes this go amiss, but please provide some feedback to a customer either in person or on line. If I could rate them a Zero, I would.

I always shop at this Glen Mills location; and today I went to have lunch at the buffet with my daughter before we shop and get groceries. I picked different kinds of food and chose BROWN RICE for starch. Sat to eat and I GOT A CLOSE UP LOOK OF THE RICE and THERE WERE 4-6 (probably more) DEAD INSECTS. GROSS AND DISGUSTING. I went to ask for chef and this guy that I ask to look for him gave me a smirk smile while talking to the chef while theyre walking towards me. SHAME ON YOU. DISGUSTING! THEY PROBABLY DID NOT WASHED THE RICE. HOW ABOUT THE REST OF THE FOOD THEY PREPARE?! You think its clean? NEVER AGAIN! PS. I HAVE PICTURE TO PROVE! And glad I didnt give THE RICE to child. Yuck!
