Wow I read Ms. Gurals review and I am shocked by her remarks. I have dealt with Whitby Jewelers for years. I may not have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars but I have had a number of things designed by Michael over the years. I dont think there is a more creative jeweler in the area. I have given his designs as cherished gifts to family and friends. I have never had a problem with customer service nor attentiveness. I find too often that people that are truly happy with the services of a company dont take the time to write a review for a company they appreciate. I would highly recommend Whitby Jewelers. I spoke to Michael Whitby about Ms. Gurals review. He told me that she is still a valued customer. Its unfortunate she hasnt taken the time to modify her review. Its possible she wrote it at a time of great stress.

Beware! Although the business sells quality and custom-made jewelry, the customer service is deplorable! My husband has purchased over the past 8 years literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelery from Michael Whitby. Yet when I go in for a simple repair, my items are ignored and not repaired. When talking with the proprietor himself, he admits there is "no other" customer who spends like my husband, yet offers only a weak "Im sorry" for the delay in repair. Bottom line: find a jeweler who values your business. (By the way, he also knows my husband is dying from prostate cancer. Maybe Whitby sees no $s at the end of the rainbow...?) MNGural
