I dont normally leave 5-star reviews (check me out)...four stars if you are good...three stars if you are average.... I give Calm Waters 5-stars because it is really good, but, more importantly, Calm Waters doesnt have a peer in the area...thats right...there are no coffee shops (15 miles) in the area that are even half as good as Calm Waters. But Calm Waters isnt just good because everyone else sucks, it is good because they have an amazing roast for their coffee (not burnt, actually roasted)...they also have great snacks that are sourced from local bakers and producers. Finally, it is such a calm and beautiful environment to enjoy your coffee in. Whether you are meeting a couple of friends, doing a little reading or studying, or just taking a break from shopping in Bristol, Calm Waters is an environment that will re-energize you whether you have a highly caffeinated shot of espresso or something with no caffeine at all.

I go to Calm Waters almost every week, and I honestly think it just keeps getting better. Imagine Cheers, but with a coffee place instead of a bar. Its an incredible environment to be in; the staff is fantastic, and so are the guests. Joshua is usually the worker who is there when I go, and he seriously couldnt be any nicer. The coffee is good, the pound cake is great, and their grilled cheese is fantastic. Theyre also really patient and nice with people who have no idea about drinks other than coffee. I went in one day during the week, and Josh explained to me what almost all of their drinks were. They really live up to the saying, "eat, drink, and be merry." (So long as the drinking is referring to coffee.)

Calm Waters Coffee Roasters is a nice shop in historic Bristol. Slightly down-scaled from most Starbucks, the shop has more local charm to and comes across much less commercial than its mermaid based competition. While the selections are more limited, the quality of the coffee that I have tried is better than Starbucks. I have not spent much time lounging in the shop, usually I am walking in the nearby park areas. There is not a lot of sugar free or low carb options here, but Starbucks is also fairly limited. With a small investment in some sugar free syrup flavors, these guys would really kick Starbucks butt. Definitely the best local place for coffee.

I love this coffeeshop! It is the only place where I really felt like I belonged during my brief stay in the area. The atmosphere is perfectly community-focused and they have the BEST coffee I have ever had, and Ive had many a cup. It is bold, smooth, flavorful, and goes down easy. Its the first coffee Ive had where I actually hesitated to add my usual piles of sugar and cream to. I also love that they have gluten-free snack options so people with Celiac Disease like me are able to have their nom on too. Try Bobos apple pie oat bar, its really good. Free wifi. You can watch them roast their beans, too. Ive seen kids around so its family-friendly as well.

Calm Waters Coffee Roasters Cafe is a local coffee shop at its finest! The cafe is run by the most genuinely friendly and down to earth people youll ever meet. The walls feature a collection of rotating work from local artists, and the decor is beautifully simple. Check out their coffee roasting machine and ask about their process- they love their coffee! They are happy to share a sample of any of their brews if you need help selecting and also offer a loyalty program. We sat in their spacious back yard and enjoyed their dirty chai, cold brew coffee and blueberry iced tea- all were delicious!

The reviews are real. The service at Calm Waters is incredibly nice. Not like super sugary, just down to earth, kind, and helpful. The shop is clean, spacious, and comfortable. They have the best Chai Latte Ive ever had, and I frequent some of Phillys "best" shops. The man room has a warm atmosphere, perfect for a quick chat, study, or people watching. The local clientele are also kind, and make the shop even more approachable. Id take Calm Waters over any shop in Philly. The window seats are a plus:-)

Best coffee Ive ever have! The freshness of their drinks and food are pristine. On top of that, some of the best service youll ever get. There is nothing bad I could ever say about that place. It is the perfect coffee shop! If you are ever anywhere within a 100 mile radius, you have to stop by, grab a coffee and a bite, and walk around Bristol borough.

I drink a lot of cappuccinos at different cafes and rarely are they this good. The shots were not overly bitter and dark. There was a nice acidity to it and a the flavor lasted a long time. This coffee has got to be fresh, and not over-roasted. The staff were super-friendly, and clearly super-competent!

My absolute favorite place to get a cup of coffee. Andrew, the owner, is an amazing guy! The coffee is great and each of the baristas definitely take their time in preparing each cup and you can see a lot of effort is placed behind making this place great. I come every time Im in town!

Without a doubt one of my FAVORITE places in Bristol. The drinks are fantastic and the owners and employees make you feel as though youre part of the fam. Not to mention the shop itself is beautiful. Definitely worth checking out if youre ever in the area.

Great food with a view overlooking the river. There is a nice patio relax and listen to music from the park as you eat your meal. The building is a hotel dating back several hundred years. The bar is old and gorgeous. I highly recommend.

A nice little coffee shop that has great coffee in a pleasant environment. I go here twice a week and always enjoy the coffee. I drink my coffee black and can tell you that the coffee here does not need anything in it to taste really good.

Only got a cappuccino here and moved on. Their coffee is roasted on site and their coffee comes from small farms. The barista was knowledgeable of where their coffees came from.

Warm and welcoming and I just dont mean the coffee. They have a digital point system instead of paper punch cards and the app doesnt spam you. Kid friendly as well
