The Portland Bottle Shop is awesome for so many reasons, heres a few. They have an amazing selection of wine and beer (obviously) but even if you dont see what youre looking for Travis is really helpful about checking order availability and having it ready for you in no time. He not only helped us find a bottle of Gamay that we were looking for (for months, and all we brought him was a picture) but he suggested a few others we try that are delicious. Weve also hosted two private parties at The Bottle Shop and both experiences have been super fun and memorable. Plus, it helps to have such an experienced team helping you out that you dont have to worry about any of the details, you can just focus on the fun stuff (they even helped me with my cover story for the surprise party I threw for my husband)! Anytime Im feeling stressed out, I know I can stop in and not only pick up some great wine and beer, but the atmosphere of the shop is so welcoming and calm that I feel the stress start to melt away (ok, it could also be the alcohol, but I think the people are a BIG part of it). If youre looking for a great place for good drinks, snacks and relaxing environment, you should definitely check out the shop!

The Portland Bottle Shop has been one of my very favorites since they opened! Not only is the staff incredibly knowledgeable but they couldnt be nicer! The beer and wine selection cant be beat and will work for anyones budget. And its not just a place to pick up wine and beer for any occasion, you can sit, enjoy a glass (or two) and enjoy some delicious noshes as well. They recently added outdoor seating for the summer months and its a great addition! Dont forget to check out their tasting schedule and special dinners they plan as well as consider it as a venue for a private party. I threw a very special birthday party for my mother in law and it was incredible, guests are still talking about it! Truly some of my favorite nights out have been spent at this wonderful Sellwood shop. I couldnt recommend it more!

I love this shop, both for hanging out and enjoying a glass of wine in a comfortable setting, and also for buying bottels to take with me. They always do a great job of finding a wine that (1) fits my price range, which is usually a $10-ish range, (2) something that tastes great, and (3) that actually fits with the meal its going with. Its a trifecta of awesome. I love the beer selection, too. I try to keep a growler jug in my car for bringing home some of their tap beers, and I try to stay on their super good side so I can find out when they have Pliney the Elder on tap! And the bottle collection of beers are always a hit when I get them as gifts for my husband. There are no words for the blue cheese dip, you have to try it to understand what that moment is like.

Hands down the BEST place in Portland to kick back and enjoy a glass of wine or a pint of your favorite brew while getting educated by the exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly owner and sommelier extraordinaire Travis.They have an extensive collection of fantastic wines and beers to choose from, which is nice when you have a wine drinker and a beer drinker in the family ~ everybodys happy! The only way to describe this place is "EXCELLENT." The staff is amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of both wine and beers from around the world. The prices are very reasonable. And the food is awesome. An incredibly fun place to sit & have a drink, enjoy a tasting, or host a private event. Plus, they are family friendly! Weve held numerous events here and our attendees have always been blown away. If I could give the Portland Bottle Shop more than 5 stars I would.

Great vibe, great, eclectic selection, and tasty plates for noshing. The owner, Travis, is more than extremely knowledgeable, hes fun and into it. In my experience its always casual and comfortable, and often lively. They have a dedicated outdoor seating area too, which is a great addition in good weather. In addition to great wines at reasonable prices Ive found really unexpected ciders and beers. If you like spirits this is a great place to hang.

Love The Bottle Shop! We live nearby and at least weekly walk the few blocks to have a warm pretzel or sandwich with our glass of wine or ginger beer. The sandwiches are made with sliced to order meats and accompanied by fresh house made chips or french fries. The pretzels are served hot with two yummy mustards. You can sample and shop a wide variety of wines as well. The Bottle Shop is always full of friendly staff and patrons... Get there asap!

Very very friendly great choices of wines can order for you any specific wines when they dont have them in store delicious home made tapas. The guests feel at home there and mix together naturally and so much dog friendly! Our place to o for a glass if wine as often as we can. LOVE THAT PLACE

Small and cozy, but also able to easily accommodate our larger group. The service was incredible - friendly, quick, and helpful. Some of the SE bars can be pretentious, but not here. Great beer and wine selection. Fries, fried mozzarella, charcuterie and cheese plates were all tasty too!
