Food here was OK, but service--even though the place was nearly empty--was indifferent. Servers seemed more interested in talking to each other than to serving us. In a very long (because of slow service) meal, they never even bothered to fill up my iced tea glass. At the end of the meal they brought the check in an American Express folder, but then told me they didnt take American Express when I tried to pay that way.

Packed full of charm and ambiance. One of those places where you expect to find a secret door that opens to reveal a never never land... The food is excellent! I cant say enough how enjoyable it is to go there, and have a fine meal and drinks, and then spend time wondering through the book store. I have never been dissapointed. A trip to Newport would not be the same with out a stop here.

Dont miss this gem! Thankfully my book loving son wanted to visit a bookstore on our visit to Newport. A quick search brought up Canyon Way Bookstore. Not only did he find a great book (and I found some cool jewelry and gifts for family) but we found THE BEST clam chowder and French onion soup weve ever had! Seriously amazing food and a fun shop to boot. Have fun exploring.

The food here is awesome! The clam chowder and fish and chips are probably the best Ive ever had. The clam chowder has so much flavor you dont need to add anything more. The service here is super friendly and attentive.

Excellent food, and live music on Friday. Many Fridays host local bands. Great little selection of books for both adults and children. Wlking distance from the Newport bay front.

Just had the most wonderful french onion soup that just made my number one list. So much for so little. I as a classic trained chef would find it hard to top. A must stop. Don
