Im a 65 year old retired man living in J.C. Ive shopped at Safeway since when it was a smaller store where the Chevron gas station now stands. Over the past many years Ive noticed a most disturbing trend of being overcharged by the cashier when they ring up my purchases. Between the safeway card swiping(when often did not take) and the credit card swiping, and the coupons, etc, I often do not notice the overcharging until after leaving the checkout stand. So I go over my receipt and return to the cashier or the customer service and get a refund. They always give me my refund, but my problem is WHY do I have to go over the receipt at all? They are professionals, so they tell me, why cant they do their job honestly the first time. I rarely buy more than 20. dollars of stuff at a time. One time the girl told me "its only 50 cents". That is exactly my point, its my 50 cents theyre trying to steal. Not their 50 cents they are giving to me. This situation happens roughly half my visits there and I am mad as hell about it. I even send in the red customer survey card, available at the customer service counter. I would gladly shop elsewhere but we have no other grocery store.

Ive lived in JC since 1995... Ive never had a problem with any of the checkers, as they have all been very nice to me. Starbucks employees are great, minus 1, who no longer works there. Where they need improvement is the pharmacy. I can guarantee that if I have called in a refill/or a new RX has come from my doctors office, that it will NOT be ready the same day. It takes a couple days. They REALLY need to figure something out. Maybe they should have a pharmacist filling orders after hours so RXs can get filled in a timely manner.. Maybe hire more employees?? I dont know, but something must be done, and when you get frustrated with the fact that you can NEVER get your prescriptions on time, and you ALWAYS have to come back, some of the employees get snappy and rude with you. Yes... My main complaint is the pharmacy... Serisously... You need to do something about the problem.. Its almost worth me driving to Eugene and having Walgreens fill mine..

EXTREMELY bummed that Safeway corporation ( locally from my prospective ) has fallen into the gas trap. I had thought for a few years that Safeway would continue to stand alone, and be a pioneer for the people. sadly tonight, I was disappointed ( unfortunately not unexpected, as with the likes of many large corporations ) that Safeway has taken away the 3 cent discount per gallon. This has solidified my thoughts about large corporations thinking SOLELY about themselves, and using ANY excuse that they can to push the pain to the smaller people. They ( Safeway ) are now one of the most expensive places in town to buy gas. They ONLY discount that you will achieve now, is a so called "trade-off." Buy groceries from them, and in return, you will receive a so called "discount" on your gas. What if you choose to buy food elsewhere????...Shame, shame....

We moved to the Junction City area about a year ago from Eugene. We totally love the Junction City Safeway store. The whole attitude of the store is very friendly. Without a doubt, our favorite person in the store is Shane....but then I think everybody loves him. HAHA. Hes just a great guy that always has a great smile and goes out of his way to help people. However, the general attitude of everybody in the store seems that way. Heck, even the customers are friendly! The people in the pharmacy are wonderful, too. In the year weve been shopping there, weve yet to have anything close to a bad experience and in this day and age, thats pretty incredible! Not sure if its the attitude of the store or the town in general, but we love it! Thanks for making grocery shopping fun!

This Safeway Pharmacy has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any setting. They took my perception and told me to wait and hour for it to be filled. I came back and hour later and they said they did not have it in stock and come back tomorrow. I have been making calls all morning to the pharmacy to see if they have it ready yet for pick up. They will answer my phone call and then put me on hold for minutes then hang up with out giving me any information. Not to mention when ever the lady at the counter talks to me she has been rude with a smirk on her face like she doesnt want to help anyone she has to talk to. I have been trying to be as polite as I can be about all of this. I recommend not using this pharmacy. It is easier to just go one town over.

This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER...we hate to shop here, always rude...lines very long.....they have a monopoly on the town but almost all of us feel forced to shop here. This place is bound to ruin your day and it is the only grocer in town. Mike is especially rude and works there. But he is not the only one rude. I have never encountered such mean people ever in any store and I have never bothered with a review but this place is so bad I had to say something...hey Safeway...your choice of employees suck.

I have been there 4 times in 3 weeks and never have got what I went for. They dont have any. I have not been able to get yoplait pina colada yogurt , and most of the time any other of my favorites. I cant get any Oregon Hazel nut bread either. The other day which was a Tuesday , they had 3 checkers. 2 express and 1 regular clerk. I stood in line for 27 minutes waiting. They didnt have my things that day either. This store has gone down hill and the prices have gone UP.

The lines tend to be long. They have a theres a crowd rule where they are supposed to open another line if more than three people are in line. That never happens and it is a common occurrence to see three or more people in line. Prices are higher than other Safeways in Eugene for most items. Also make sure they take off the correct amount when using coupons. This Safeway is in need of a major culture change to address the issues listed above as well as other posts.

While driving threw Junction City, OR we stop by the Safeway for lunch as I just love the teriyaki chicken there. Well the label may have said teriyaki chicken but that is not what it was. There was very little chicken, no teriyaki sauce at all and if had jalapenos in it. I ended up having to threw away what ever it was. I dont like spicy food and the first thing I tasted was jalapenos. I will not be stop by there again the next time I go threw town.

Way too high customer to cashier ratio. Tried to have something rang up at Starbucks and was ignored. Went to Customer Service only to be charged a higher price for the items. Ended up buying Chinese food only. The food not only caused the worst gas ever into the night, but into the next day and night. My family is upset with me for this horrible gas, and some customers at work looked at me funny. Safeway went downhill quick
