I despise this store- the employees nearly always have a very unfriendly disposition, and when they DO decide to buy your item, they give you such an insultingly low amount for it that it scarcely makes the trip there worth it; if youre lucky, maybe you can cover the gas money it took to get there It seems that they only want items that are basically brand new- as if a flatscreen from 5 years ago with the same resolution as one made last year is functionally any different. They do, however, seem very keen to buy the most useless tacky knick-knacks and then charge astronomical prices for them So, if you enjoy rude employees who like to waste your time and money with their arbitrary conditions about buy-ins, as well as criminally overpriced used items, this store is for you. But to everyone else, I would say dont waste your time. Many people who try to sell stuff to this establishment are clearly in dire straits or else they wouldnt be selling their items, or could take the time to get a fair price on Craigslist but sometimes that isnt an option- a store such as this SHOULD be a godsend for people in situations like that, but instead they just treat you like a nuisance for even walking into the store to begin with 0/5- I only put the one star because it was impossible to go lower

Of all of the resale places Ive been to, this is one of the better ones. Not as expansive as Goodwill can be; no clothes here. But the quality of the goods is a bit better than many of these kinds of places Ive visited. Still, you need to be careful with your purchase as some items have a bit more wear and tear on them than I care for. If you are in the market for used furniture, kitchen items, household furnishings or tools I suggest you check this place as they just might have what youre looking for at a decent price. And if you have some of these kind of items that still have plenty of life in then, take them here and see what you can get for them. The friendly staff will be glad to help you with either type of need.

Rude & make you feel like your belongings are trash & worth nothing just so they can turn around & make 5 times as much, but will tell you that they giving you 30%. Lair! Youll go back in there later to find that your items are 10 times markup. It was better when Jeff & Liz was there, at least they was fair. Maybe to fair according to management! To bad for them to lose a good employees due to greed & now stuck with assholes that makes the store now ass for selling! Mind u, no buying leads to NO selling...then next is close down location. I am very disappointed in this store. I went in and said I had two TVs to sell to them. They were in good condition. The lady said are they 09 Flat Screens? I said no. She said we dont take anything but that or newer. I left thinking this store should be called new stuff, not new uses. I know it was 5 years ago but those TVs are still good. People want to sell their tub TVs and get those flat screens. This store is suppose to have stuff like that for people to have the option for something cheaper if they cant buy a nice flat screen.

I was hesitant to go after reading all of these reviews, but glad I did. I went last night, was greeted by Liz when I walked in, she helped me with my items. I am shocked at how nice she is after reading all of these reviews. She was very nice! I got $20 and was happy..it isnt much, but you cant expect much at places like that, I was very satisfied with the cash I got for what I brought in. I would def. go back there. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to buy things or sell.

I took my dishes in there, the guy took one look at a plate and said we dont take strach plates. I understood but my dishes were a set of six so I asked him he can just look at 4 which is a set, he refused to look and offer me a list of what they actually take I told him I did not want it and I told him that he ridiculous!! That store has mix match dishes that they sellsell. I Will NEVER step foot in that store, I rather give my stuff away for free then try sell it to them

RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED!!! You guys realize that the whole selling point of your business model is that you are a USED items store, correct?!?!? You can get the same types of items at your local thrift store, or even CRAIGSLIST for a FRACTION of the cost! $350 for a USED couch with STAINS?!?!? $300 bucks for a USED Dyson vacuum?!? MACYS has them on sale BRAND NEW for $279 dollars!!! Cmon guys! Be realistic!

I got really excited to see a new uses in town as the Hilliard location closed a few years ago. I wanted to get a few things for our new house. I was explaining that its a consignment -type shop to my deaf/autistic cousin as we walked in the door. An employee of the name Isaac butted into the conversation to say that we were wrong and was REALLY rude to us. It made it for an awkward experience ! I was upset.

I just called and this was my conversation...THEM: Hello, new uses this is (cant remember) ME: hi, could you tell me, are you located next to platos closet? THEM: Could you hold please? NEW PERSON: Hello, new uses can i help you? Hi, I was just wondering, are you located next to Platos closet? Then total silence. I said hello several times, dead silence, crickets... So I guess I wont be shopping there.

Store is a great concept but- management needs to improve their system for checking in/out customers. I had 3 small boxes of items and was told the wait was 2 hours....Really?.Some of the items they were not accepting at the time, why wasnt that posted somewhere to save time??? No logic to how things are done and the store is in chaos most of the time. Need more people.

Simply overpriced for the mechandise! They were a lot more reasonable ten years ago. Today, theyre just an undercover "PAWNSHOP" were you sell your household goods for next to mothing and the half way clean them and mark them up ridiculously. How can the have the nerve or compacity not to barder/negotiate on used second hand items.

I shop there frequently when Im in Pickerington. I have some great one of a kind items and good quality furniture, lamps, kitchen appliances and pictures. Yeeeah, sometimes things can be a bit pricey but overall you can and will find some outstanding deals. Love the place. Always clean and neat and the staff is always personable.

I am a frequent customer of New Uses and am always greeted with a smile, especially Lorrie who is always friendly. The offers for the items sold are always fair and I recommend to anyone looking to make some extra cash to go there. Also the items there are reasonably priced and in good shape.
