I go to DLM primarily for baked goods. Not cheap, but in line with small independent dedicated bakeries and at least as good as any in the area. Sometimes when my wife and I are considering going out to eat we will stop at their deli instead because the food is as good as any restaurant. I have been there dozens of times and was always happy with the products I purchased until last week. Last week I purchased a product I didnt think was correctly cooked. I thought about taking it back, but thought it would be too much hassle since it was only a few dollars and the exchange would take more time than it was worth. Even the best make mistakes and it was no big deal. One of my co-workers pushed me to take it back, so I did. DLM took such good care of me I almost felt guilty walking out the door.

Upscale, comfortable, warm, friendly environment. The staff have exceptional manners and etiquette, as do the shoppers who come here. Its like a step back in time when people were humane to each other. The necessary, higher food costs keep the low-class, rude people out of this place and its worth every penny! Supreme-quality foods of wide variety. All of their made-to-order lunch sandwiches at the deli counter have been delicious. Always enjoy my experience here. No harsh fluorescent bulbs, annoying pop tunes or zombi-like customers ramming into you with their carts as their screaming babies annoy the whole building.

Dorothy Lane Market charges you a little more than your average grocer for most things, but after going there for fresh meats and deli meats I dont think I could ever go back to getting my meats from Kroger or any other grocer. Also the service is beyond belief. I once had a produce shelf stocker walk all the way to the other end of the store with me and explain the difference between some cheeses. Whatever extra the cost is there is made up greatly by the service. 56 out of 59 stars. The only con is that the herbs leave a little to be desired,

Always clean! Always has happy knowledgeable staff willing to help shoppers no matter what they are doing. Always stocked and willing to get products for guests when they are not sold in the store. They always allow for tasting food sold at the deli before you buy it, and they will even cook the steaks or other food you buy for you! DLM sells BEAUTIFUL desserts that taste DELICIOUS! You can even order cakes and desserts how you would like them!

I got a seafood chowder soup for $4.99, not bad for how much was in it. But I mistakenly ordered a liverwurst sandwich from the deli. I am new here, didnt know there was a menu. Ordered liverwurst, slice of onion on rye . Simple enough, I thought. I got very good liverwurst, about a dollars worth, and yellow mustard, very good rye bread. They forgot the onion slice. $9.00!!! I think my pickle spear must have been worth $7.00!

Gourmet, speciality, international, local, organic, and everyday items. Great deli, soup, and meat counters with standard and rotating items. My main things are organic/natural/humane meats and eggs. Also cheeses and vegetables. When I want a rare sweet treat, I go to the bakery. Get a club card and sign up for the snail mail paper newsletter to get bonus points coupons. Then redeem points for discounted items or other stuff.

This is the best grocery store. They have great deli sandwiches, pizza, soup and take away items. I dont know what I would do without DLM. I am in this store about every day, I probably eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in some form from DLM when I am not traveling. My family and friends always want to go when they visit. I honestly have not seen a store as nice as this in my travels, we are so fortunate to have them here.

DLM carries quality products. A great place to stop for a cup of coffee and a bagel in the morning, or picking up something for dinner on the way home from work. We walk to DLM once or twice a week to get some groceries or a sandwich from their deli counter. They also have bike parking on the side of the building which is a big plus!

You can buy practically any food you want here. Rattlesnake meat? Yep. Some very obscure cheese? Yep. If they dont have what you want, they can generally order it. Their deli and desert counter are excellent. It is not just a grocery store, but also a restaurant. This definitely a highlight of the Dayton area, and worth visiting.

DLM is an upscale grocery store with many fresh and local options. Its pricier than most grocery stores but the quality of the food justifies their prices. They have many organic options as well as options for those with special dietary needs. The Oakwood location has a lofted bar/seating area where they periodically host events.

They have the best deli, meat, seafood, and bakery counters of any grocery store, hands down. They make delicious, restaurant-quality food for their deli counters and serve it with a smile. Dont miss the produce either! Youll pay a little more here but every apple and orange is high quality, ripe, and in beautiful condition.

DLM offers exceptional variety of exceptional products with exceptional customer service. Their delicatessen, meat, and seafood departments are second to none in southwestern ohio. My only complaint is that they dont have a location north of Dayton. If they had a DLM in Troy... Id never shop anywhere else for groceries.

We love the freshly made bakery items, the custom salads and unique items that are hard to find other places. The produce department is really nice. We really love thre fresh fish and meat it is wonderful!! It is a great place for shopping, but especially if you want something different for entertaining!!

Homemade mozzarella cheese & a great selection. Open for midnight cheese runs :-) During regular store hours they will cook/grill your pick of steak, fish or various hamburger selection. At least 6 different hot homemade soups to go or enjoy a seat on the second floor balcony. Highly Recommended.

Went there to find gluten free bread. The first one didnt have any. The second one on 741 had a whole bunch of bread, i appreciate that they carry Canyon bread, it is the best gluten free bread around. Thank you In a side note i have been to 2 Targets also, and they didnt have any either.

From the first time I ever shopped here (6years ago) I have loved this store! They cater to your health as well as your sweet tooth. Very clean, organized cute store and the staff is friendly and helpful. Fresh meats, fruits and veggies. Great deli and bakery as well.

Best dessert selection in town. Killer Brownies are just that: killer! They also have a great selection of local food and organic foods as well as a variety of premade sandwiches, soups and bowls for lunch and dinner if you need a quick meal. And stellar service too!

I love this market! The meat and fish is fresh and of high quality. I always find my plantain chips here. Yum. Campbells soup variety is greater than at Krogers. Creme brulee is delicious here! Soups, salads, produce all great tasting. Good wines. Clean restroom.

They have the best meat, produce , and dairy products available. The deli and cheese dept has the best products in southern Ohio.The bakery is second to none. Nice, clean and friendly. Top that all off with the Boston Stoker Coffee shop. It is fun to shop at DLM!
