A great Hispanic supermarket with pretty much anything you could reasonably be looking for. But lets be honest, the real reason to come here is the prepared tacos and burritos. During a trip to San Diego I had a life changing Taco moment when eating REAL tacos for the first time at a small chain based in Tiajuana. After returning home I knew I had to find authentic tacos in Cleveland. After much searching I found La Plaza. These tacos are so good with freshly grilled meat, toasted soft double corn shells, a toppings bar with all the onions, cilantro, lime, guac, and salsas you could ask for. After adding some house made tortilla chips or chicharrones and a Mexican soda made with real sugar, I dont know how it could be much better. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. Get the Tacos El Pastor, you wont be disappointed. As an added bonus, in the summer they move a food cart out in front of the store and grill up everything there in the fresh air and sunshine.

Walked into the supermarket and headed toward the deli in the back. Found a sign directing me to pay for what I want up front. A little funky, but didnt hurt my feelings. They take debit, credit, and cash. Grabbed a Mexican Coke to go with it. Tacos are $2 a piece, I ordered 3, and the total was $7.39. Then proceeded back to the deli where I handed the cook my receipt and told him what I wanted. I got a Chorizo, an Al Pastor, and a Carnitas. They hand you the tacos in a paper basket. You can turn around to the table behind you and dress them with onion, cilantro, lime, and 3 different types of salsa. I tried the green salsa, and was super happy with it. Each taco was delicious in different ways, but the double corn soft shell fresh off the griddle wrapped them up perfectly. I will be a regular, as this is the best taco Ive had in Cleveland.

My husband and I recently passed a perfectly pleasant afternoon at La Plaza shopping for dried chiles and other specialty items in the grocery, then relaxing on the patio stuffing our faces with the best tacos in all of CLE! Notwithstanding the greasiness of the meat - which was a little much for my personal taste - the taco cart experience was perfect and oh-so-charming in its straightforwardness! I loved ordering my tacos, watching the meat on the grill, and serving myself from the sauce and condiment bar to the side. The bevy of hot sauces is a triumph! The carne asada and chorizo tacos were the stand-outs for me - but everything was fantastic! A trip to La Plaza perfect was to enjoy a cheap and satisfying afternoon that will whisk your imagination a million miles away from the rest of your Whole Foods/Panera Bread life.

I absolutely love this place. I have been eating here at least once a week for over a year now. Every thing they make is absolutely delicious and an amazing value. I am a professional chef without much prior knowledge of authentic mexican food but this has quickly become one of my top 3 places to eat. The tacos (best in NE ohio imo), the burritos (best value), tamales and guac/ salsas (pick up some for dinner or a party, instant hit), and everything in between are always outstanding. Barrio and Taco Tantos dont even come close. If you love good food this is where it is at. Thank you so much to everyone who works here for doing what you do. -Aaron

We are visiting Solon from Dallas, Texas and were looking everywhere in Solon and the surrounding area for some canned pickled jalapenos to make some poppers for my husbands family reunion. They were not to be found anywhere in Solon and no one knew where we could go to find some. We searched and found La Plaza, called to see if they had what we needed and then made the 25 minute drive to the store. The girl on the phone was very helpful and gave us pretty clear directions. The store had a good variety of Mexican food products and you can be sure we will be there again the next time we visit Solon. I highly recommend La Plaza!

I started coming here during my last year of college because I lived a block away- very inexpensive and has everything you could ask for if needing to cook Mexican food, which is what I began to do as I had been using this place as my only grocery option in walking distance. Coincidentally, a few years later, I now live in Mexico, and it has only solidified this places authenticity for me. The tacos and fresh food in the back is really good, and I saw they even serve Pozole on weekends now. Also the tamales they sell are great... this place makes me super happy, always has!

Sunday mid-morning, Im walking around Lakewood with a powerful hunger, looking for a place to spend my 8 dollars. My favorite pastry shop is closed... sad face. I end up on Lakewood Heights Boulevard, heading home, defeated. In the distance, I hear... music. Beautiful trumpets and the aroma of meat wind around me. Could it be? Ten minutes later, I have a burrito the size of a newborn and still have a dollar left. And its Delicious! Loaded with everything. Ill be going back.

This place is a gem. I like it not just for the tacos, but also the tamales, fresh salsa, homemade nacho chips, chicharrones, pickled veggies, bakery, etc. Been a customer for many years. I hired them to cater an event for me at my workplace and they were great to work with and did a wonderful job. The food was delicious. A+. That last review was pretty dumb.

Solid take out or eat in burritos, tacos, quesadillas. AWESOME salsa, guacamole, and pico de gallo. The meat and fish counter are very clean and have an excellent selection of pre seasoned and plain meats, sausages, and Hispanic/Mexican traditional items. Check it out. You will not be disappointed. Convenient to I90...just off Bunts Rd.
