Excellent source for womens work wardrobe. Youll find reasonably current styles of used and remaindered clothing including some premium labels in all sizes at reasonable prices. Ive shopped here for 5 years and aside from occasionally lint or dust, I have never had an issue with the cleanliness of their stock. They always staple the price tag with two staples, attaching to the hang tag inside the neck of the garment whenever possible. This makes the price easy to find and minimizes damage to the garment, but youll want to use a staple remover because the tags really on tight. This is also a plus because they cannot sell an item thats missing its tag. This is a popular place, worth a visit just to people-watch if youre not interested in buying today. Only one thing I dont like: When I have been there in the afternoon, I noticed that they announced the store closing time every five or ten minutes for a full hour before closing time. Several times, I passed by Valley Thrift at 1 1/2 hours before close and didnt visit because I didnt want to hear those nagging announcements while I shop. Id also add, and this is no slight on Valley Thrift: If youre one of those people who lose their minds at the sight of a foreigner or a not-Anglo American, please visit Valley Thrift very late in the day when I wont be there to hear your nasty remarks. Please do visit though - getting out around new people will do you good.

With Goodwill around the corner, and St. Vincent de Pauls literally right next door, Valley Thrift sometimes gets overlooked. For its smaller location Valley Thrift has a lot of selection. Their clothes are normally good quality, and lots of times the original store tags still on! Most tops are under $5. Theyre incredibly organized with sizes and styles, so its easy to stop in on a lunch break if youre looking for something in particular. They also have a lot of random "junk" Now dont get me wrong, a lot of it is really nice! You can find all sorts of glassware in great condition, and other little odds and ends furniture, but they also do have a lot of just out dated tacky junk. And the dust that is covering it doesnt help it fare well in moving off the shelf. Theyve got all sorts of board games and kids toys too. And luggage, and not so great working condition electronics, although I did find a working record player here a few years ago! If youre looking for clothes and odds and ends, this is definitely a place to stop by. But just know you may have to park around the corner as the parking lot gets full fast.

This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I was at the Valley Thrift Store on US 42 today around 11:30 this morning. I had in my cart several items including a Vtech Game system, this included the system, controller and games (also all of this was taped together with clear packing tape). There was a blue price tag, (stapled around the power cord) with a 1.99 price. As I was checking out- the short, fat Hispanic (female) clerk, said "I be back" and walked away with the vtech game system - I was left standing at the counter for several minutes. The manager did walk by and I quested about this and she said, the clerk was in the back speaking to the price manager. The clerk came back empty handed and said sorry, game to cheap - we cant sell!! What? Are you serious?? I was so furious and I still am. I believe that this short, fat Hispanic clerk took the game system for herself. I will NEVER shop at this store

Ive been coming here since I was a kid with my parents, great place to find clothes, because most of it comes from Indian Hill that are donated. (literally purchased and never used) not all of them but most. some of the people that shop there have attitudes or act snobby like theyre better than you...okay... some of the employees could be friendlier. but most of them are okay always cracking jokes and laughing. probably wouldnt buy pillows here actually dont do that with any thrift store you never know what could be on or in them. also a good place to find nice old stuff too. other than food you can find anything here. now most stuff is a bit overpriced but most of its probably worth it $2.99 for a XL Polo shirt that still has the original stores tag on it that said it was $29.99 worth it.

I have to admit, I dont care for the dirty feel of the place, but looking past that you can find a lot of great deals. Its hit or miss, with any thrift store, but theres always a deal to be had. My only complaint about the staff is they had a young man working the checkout who should never have been put in that position. He was not well versed in even remedial math skills. It took him nearly 2 minutes to figure out how to give 45 cents in change. I felt bad for the poor guy. Overall, if youre not looking for particulars and are just in the mood for bargain hunting, this is the place. If you need something specific, go elsewhere.

Dirty, disgusting, smelly junk. This place is a garbage pit, the people and the stuff for sale. Just going through here I was praying I didnt pick up any bugs or diseases. The junk here is worse than you would find alongside a street curb. They dont even clean anything off, mud, hair, gum, dust, all over everything. Yes prices are cheap but not even worth those prices for the busted up curb side worthless garbage your buying. I felt so dirty and nasty upon leaving there I immediately went home to shower and wash my clothes in fear of bugs!!

Awful experience! I mean I went there at 3pm.. No shopping carts, people rude, people standing in the middle of almost every isle. Just a MESS! Very unorganized, but I looked past that. They had clothing ripped, bleach stains that were overpriced. Most of the employees dont even speak english. The cashiers are very rude.. The lady putting stuff on the shelf was huffing, puffing, throwing things on the racks.. And even told me to "MOVE" Didnt say, "Excuse me " Or anything! They even had a pair of sh** stained panties... Disgusting!

Such a horrible place. The staff is SO RUDE. So arrogant. THey sell lots of broken things that are more expensive than nice things and wont lower the price when you ask. They keep saying their line "we cant change anything" which is total BS. Go to any St VIncent De Paul and youll get good prices and theyll lower prices if they see something is broken. THese people are a bunch of white trash and i feel icky whenever Im there.

I always enjoy a good second hand store. This one is larger and busier than most. Isles full of merchandise still warm from the previous owners. BONUS FEATURE: ...if you dont find what you what here there is another second hand store immediately to the north. Get your shopping endorphins flowing for almost nothin. ...please be careful not to overdose on the deals and steals!

Sometimes this place has the greatest finds. Sometimes it has a pile of junk. It varies, but is a great place to go digging for treasure. They are starting to overprice some items they deem as having high value. I believe this is a for profit business, so I have no problem with that. However, I dont expect to pay near retail for used items or heavily worn items.
