Yes. Thats right. Hate. There is no hope for this store except for maybe new owner/management. I will never buy a gun at Target World unless they get their act together. Highly unlikely. Once, I asked to look at a gun and I actually had a staff member tell me I racked the slide like a girl because i commented on how strong the spring was. They are a bunch of arrogant gun snobs. They may be stocked well enough but the prices are horrible.Well of course they only stock the most expensive of guns, and then mark the price up because its sitting in this supposedly elite store. Basically, if its not in their store its junk. If your poor dont bother asking them to get something you could afford. But they will gladly special order for you if it they see big dollar signs.I can only imagine that they are cool with a few elect customers that arent below them. You know the ones that are willing to pay the $65 a box for .380 when it was nearly impossible to find. I really have no reason to go in there, but I do from time to time to check to see if their attitudes have changed. They are pretty consistent. I just go in like i would any gun store and pretend I Im not disgusted with them. Some of them are worse than others. I actually think that of all the times Ive been in there some younger guy was nice. But that was the only time Ive seen that guy. They probably outed him. The wolves. If they are gonna continue with the same owner.management, what they need is a local competitor that will humble them and steal all their business. A competitor will a new, clean facility, employees that are not jerks but have good people skills and care about the customer. Also possessing well stocked conservatively priced firearms of all brands and a larger range that is responsibly looked after and cleaned. But unfortunately they have no one to help them look inward and grow personally in this way. So if you like being treated badly, or if you want to show a noob what a gun snob looks like, or if you are a communications teacher and want to take the class down to see an example of bad customer service, then Target world is for you. I think it would be a good experiment to send in a whale(big spender), followed by a much less flashy poor guy who wants something like a hi-point(which they wont have stocked because they are gun snobs). Then tell that poor guy to ask for layaway on that gun. LOL After that, send in a extremely hot young girl (who is supposedly ignorant of guns). Dress her up really in a revealing outfit. Then follow that girl by some ugly fat older woman who is dressed like sloppily but knows what shes talking about with firearms and knows exactly what she wants. Lets see how all those people get treated. Lets see if the dumb blonde who has no idea what she wants gets treated worse than the old woman who has a really good idea of what she wants. Same with the whale and the poor guy. Lets way that the whale can clearly afford the whole store but needs advice. And of course the poor guy knows what he wants because he knows he can only afford the hi-point 9MM. My point is that these guys size you up at the door to see if you are even worth talking to. Anyways, as with most gun stores you can tell in the first five minutes if you like them. And Ive been in enough of them to know them there is way better than Target World. Sometimes youll find a shop where there will be two guys and one is the gun snob and the other is cool. Thats just the way it is. Just figure out when that guy works. It really pays to have find a good gun dealer and support them.

-- Edit: August 22, 2016 Please read review from same account posted on Ready Line (Newtown, OH) Google review page on August 22, 2016. Highly disappointed with Ready Line and will remain happy Target World customer. End edit. --- I’ve been to Target World several times since moving to Ohio and I’ve been more than satisfied every time I’ve visited. There are a handgun range, a rifle range, and an extensive inventory of firearms and accessories. Every Thursday night is Ladies’ Night (free firearm rental, must purchase ammunition in store), and the place gets relatively busy, but I’ve never been turned away due to lack of available lane. The store offers a military discount and also sells Blue Label products. The prices of the ammunition (at least, the caliber I purchase) and targets are what one would expect from a local retailer; not as inexpensive as Wal-Mart, but not as exorbitant as Bass Pro, Dick’s, Cabela’s, etc. – somewhere in between. When renting a firearm, one must purchase ammunition at the store – range policy. The range provides complimentary eye and ear protection with the rental of a lane. There are twelve (approx.) lanes in the handgun range and four lanes in the rifle range. The handgun range does get quite tropical, in terms of temperature, after several minutes of shooting, which I find uncomfortable – I do find myself pretty sweaty and my glasses fogged up after about ten minutes of being out on the handgun range. And I’m not even a large person who possesses an inherent propensity to perspire when temperatures are elevated. The temperature control out on the handgun range could be improved. Customers know the employees by name, which speaks to the quality of customer service offered at the store. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to instruct. Pete, Scott, Jon, Jeremy, CJ, and Chris are just a few of the staff who I’ve come to know and of whom I regard extremely highly. As a firearm novice, I have learned an unquantifiable amount about safety and correct handling protocols, which are their top priorities. I have purchased a handgun and several firearm accoutrements from these employees and have never been disappointed by a single one. I will be buying all future firearms from this store, as well. The employees value their customers and make recommendations based on experience and knowledge of self-defense and firearm safety. I have personally received numerous pointers and tips on my shooting technique, handgun care and maintenance, and caliber selection – the employees will spend as much time as possible transferring their knowledge to any customer who just asks for it. When I was first starting out, I had them teach me everything about my gun, and more. I thought the handgun I purchased had a mechanical malfunction and two of the employees were out on the range immediately, troubleshooting and running diagnostics (problem turned out to be in my technique, not the gun). These guys are passionate about their jobs – and it’s quite apparent just from talking to them and doing business with them. Highly recommend Target Worlds store and ranges. *Unaffiliated/unsponsored/unpaid review; all opinions are mine only.

Just to respond to the comments on my earlier review: I do not work for Target World. I am a local business owner and I manufacture industrial control systems in West Chester. I dont buy all my guns from Target World (some are very hard to get), but I enjoy shopping there as the "$7/hr experts" actually are both knowledgeable and willing to teach and to learn. Most of the guys Ive worked with have extensive gun collections and strong opinions and they will debate with each other openly. Theyve also always been candid about guns and quality problems with the very product they sell. These reviews remind me of a parable where a guy moves into new neighborhood. He asks his next door neighbor if the people there are friendly or rude. The neighbor replies "what were they like where you came from?" Point being that, like most people, if you are friendly and inquisitive, etc. then other people are too. In fact, some of the complaints here are for how slow the service is...hint: thats because the sales staff at Target World spend time with their customers and dont rush them. Thats a good thing. Now mind you theyre not the only game in town and John up at Shoot Rite on Rt 42 is a great guy who Ive bought several guns from too. I just want to make it clear that, in my opinion, Target World is an excellent gun shop. Last week I shot about 300 rounds with my daughter at Target world. We took my Colt New Agent and my new Colt XSE Rail Gun (both .45 ACP). The range master was fine and I had a nice long chat with a few of the guys at the gun counter and they showed me the latest guns from Sig and Para. Its a great shop. Original review: I have to strongly disagree with most of these reviews. Its true that Target World gets slammed with customers and it can be hard to get service even when they have six people behind the counter. Its also true that they can be a bit impatient with customers. But keep in mind that this a store and range, not a place to go for free instruction or an education (although they do offer classes). The number of times Ive been behind a new gun owner who says "I need some bullets." and then the range master has to say "What kind?" only to get an answer like "9 mm" instead of "9 mm luger hollowpoints, cheapest you got" is staggering. Its no different than going to a shoe store and asking for shoes and then expecting the salesperson to walk you through all the different kinds. As to prices, theyre generally very good. I have purchased two guns from Target world both for less than internet prices + FFL transfer costs. More importantly, I couldnt find those two in stock anywhere else. Also, their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They even helped me adjust a peened rear site on a gun I didnt buy from them and fixed the extractor tension on my 1911 that I was too nervous to do myself. I think Target World is a great shop and range that gets too busy because they have no nearby competitors and this leads to people having a bad experience. If you go there when theyre slow theyre great folks who love to talk guns and are very helpful if youre willing to put in the effort to learn a bit first.
