I always find the Petsmart in Morehead City such a disagreeable place to shop that I often shop at the store in New Bern just to keep from putting myself through going in the Morehead store. The employees spend more time talking to each other than helping customers. And nobody smiles. Today was an all time low. I asked an employee for assistance when he walked by the aisle. I only wanted him to make a 10 detour to pull a package of dog biscuits that I couldnt reach off the top shelf. He said he would get someone else to help me because he was "on lunch." It literally took him longer NOT TO HELP me than if he had just walked over and assisted. I searched around the store until I could find a pet toy that was long enough to drag the package within reaching distance. Honestly, I still find it hard to believe that he told me he couldnt help because he was on lunch. BTW, when I walk in the New Bern store, there is always an employee near the front door offering assistance when a customer walks in.

Do not take your dog here for grooming or a bath. We dropped our lab off for a bath. Picked her up and noticed blood on the seats of our SUV. There was a gash on the pad of her foot. Nothing was said about this in her report card when we picked up; however, upon calling and asking to speak to the store manager, the "salon manager" told us that our dog "did not enjoy having her nails trimmed", I wouldnt either if my foot was sliced open. This place is a joke, another man was in there complaining that his dog had red spots on her belly. We will not be returning! Would gladly attach a picture if I could figure it out.

Unprofessional; poor customer service. Cashier was siting on the bag counter, legs up on it when we walked in. In the middle of transaction he was going through his wallet. He then took out his cell phone to read and respond to a text. I asked a question about a product, he said he knew nothing about it, he didnt attempt to locate or find a associate that could answer my question. Im not sure how that really works. I would have done that differently.

I left my dog in their care for a haircut and was severely disappointed. They butchered his fur and didnt even bother with his head or tail. He was bleeding near his private area and there were uneven tufts through out. They let a trainee cut his hair with no supervision and did not even clear this with me beforehand. Now I can only hope his hair grows back evenly. Dont get your dog groomed here. Just dont. Im never going back.

The employee was too busy stocking the shelf and wouldnt help me. When I asked her if she could help me she had a horrible attitude and made it clear that I was interrupting her. She kept telling kids in the store to be quiet and to use inside voices! It is always a horrible experience going into this store. The cashier was nice and I would leave her name but the receipt says "community cashier".

HORRIBLE!!!! TOOK MY DOGS THERE FOR THE LAST TIME, IT SEEMS LIKE ALL THEY DID WAS CUT THE DOGS NAILS , THEY DIDNT SMELL DIFFERENT AND THEIR FACE WAS DIRTY. HEY PETSMART, THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!! P.S I CAN ONLY POST THIS IF YOU GIVE IT A STAR BECAUSE IF SO IT WOULD BE - FIVE.

This pet smart is as good as any pet smart. Thats the reason I rate it 4 stars is because nothing stands out about it in particular. Great selection of animals, toys, food, and adoptable pets. Clean as well as organized, I would recommend this store to any pet lover.

We have used Banfield for our dog since she was 3 yr old. Their wellness plan makes keeping up with her health bills affordable and they take great care of her now that she is a geriatric dog too.

The staff are always very helpful when we walk in. They are always eager to be of assistance. We go in this store at least every two weeks and we never encounter an unhelpful employee.

Great pet store.. Grooming dept is OK depending on who you get.. 1 female was very hateful and unhappy to be there last time I took my dog in.
