Fast service considering that they make your donuts fresh while you wait! All of their varieties start with an old fashioned cake donut. Then you add your choice of icing, drizzle and topping. They also have suggested flavors to try like Blueberry Pancakes - donut with blueberry icing and maple drizzle. We went on 8/21 and bought the Eclipse Assortment. They were amazingly rich and still warm! We each could only eat one because theyre so sweet and rich. Would definitely make the 40 min drive into Charlotte to get these again and try new flavor combos. Besides donuts they have coffee, iced coffee, tea, juice, soda, milk, and various breakfast sandwiches. Theres a bar with stools to eat inside and some benches outside. It was a little tricky to find & park. We were on Kennelworth and saw the sign as we were passing a little strip mall type building, which also houses The Bag Lady. Went up to the corner, turned right and made the first right into a driveway/alleyway and ended up in a nice parking lot with a door directly into Duck Donuts.

Tried Duck Donuts for the first time today, and I gotta say I loved it. I had two donuts; a maple frosted with bacon bits, as well as a chocolate frosted. Both were amazing. The donuts are all made fresh once you order, so they give them to you nice and hot. So freaking good. They only have one type of actual donut, which is just a traditional cake-like donut, and then you choose the topings you want. The donuts were perfect, just a little bit crispy, nice and moist inside, just heavenly. The chocolate frosting was great, as was the maple. The bacon bits were very good too. My only complaint about the food is the fact that they dont offer any filled donuts, or chocolate cake donuts. But the donuts they do have are out of this world. Im still giving them 5 stars, because it didnt seem fair to rate them on something they dont even sell. Prices are reasonable for the product they offer. Donuts are $1.20 each, $6.75 for a half dozen, and $11.95 for a dozen. Service was very friendly too. Ill be back!!!

This past summer I joined my husband and his entire family for an annual tradition of staying in a beach house at Outer Banks, NC, and one morning I was so privileged to be introduced to Duck Donuts for the first time... the entire morning I was on a high from the delicious goodness in those donuts! I was a new fan. A few weeks later I began a new job 1/4 of a mile away from the Charlotte Duck Donuts store, and after my Clemson Tigers won the ACC championship this past weekend (!!!!) here, I kept my end of the bet to bring in donuts for the office as my "punishment." I called at 8:05 am rushing up 77, and they were so kind to have my warm, fresh donuts ready in 10 minutes for the office. Everyone at work has "oooood" and "ahhhhd" over these donuts, so now we are all hooked! Thank you for being so wonderful, and keep that delicious goodness coming please! :)

If you like vanilla cake donuts only this place is great. If you like jelly, custard, or cream filled donuts dont go here, as they only have donuts with holes. If you like fritters, donut holes, crullers or similar dont go here, as they only have traditional CAKE donuts. If you like blueberry, chocolate, or other donut batter flavors dont go here, as they only have vanilla CAKE. And if you like regular donut batter, not CAKE, dont go here. The toppings are also not fancy. If youre expecting Sidecar Doughnuts (like we were, look them up), then youll be sorely disappointed. Overall, this is a food-truck from a fair but in building form. If youre expecting something better than Dunkin youll be disappointed. Kids will love it, because they make it in front of you, however.

This place is unreal. Go on a weekday for a less hectic experience. If weekends are your only option, just buckle up and hang on for the ride! So many people lol ... but that says something right? Their donuts are amazing and the way they have the process down from order to ready is pretty awesome. Grab a sheet of order-paper, mark your order down, read it off to the cashier when you get to that point in line, then move over to the side and watch them make orders until yours is ready! The fact that your donut is still dough, not even made when you walk in, is crazy ... this is the freshest donut experience youll ever have. Things to keep in mind: 1. Theyre more cake-like than donut donut ... 2. Youll want some protein before or after because Holy Sweetness.

My husband and I love duck donuts, our 4 year old is I love with them and its really all I think about now that Im pregnant. I will say that my husband has been a little disappointed in this location for not making the donuts fresh, the do sit under a heat lamp which sucks. We are from va so I visit a lot and always get donuts from the Herndon va location.. they have a lady who is always making donuts and when we get our orders, they are always hot! Hopefully this location will start doing the same. I love duck donuts. It if it doesnt change than I know my family will end up going to Krispy Kreme thats 5 min away from our house

I was in desperate need for hot chocolate and donuts for 300 people and had less than 24 hrs to find help! Not only do I absolutely LOVE their donuts but their customer service exceeded all expectations! Scott was incredibly helpful and the delivery was fantastic. Everyone at our office was blown away, especially those who had never had the famous Duck Donuts! Scott and the team made this week one to remember and I promise if you ever need to use them other than just a casual donut fix, you will not be disappointed! Thanks again!

I was very disappointed by the lady that took my order, not a friendly place. And, to top it off my doughnuts were cold, not hot nor fresh. I drove 45 minutes thinking I was gonna get great serve and fresh doughnuts. I dont recommend this Duck Doughnuts in Charlotte, NC to anyone. The best one Ive tried so far would definitely be in Fayetteville, NC great people happy to serve you and the doughnuts were fresh and hot melt in your mouth goodness.

Amazing! Best donut I have ever put in my mouth. My fiance and I went here and got a variety to see which one we liked best. The bacon one was delicious--i was skeptical going in. She didnt think she would like it all, but it was her favorite out of the ones we tried. Try to avoid sweets but well be back. Well worth the additional cost of compared to going somewhere like Krispy Kreme. Not even a comparison.

Its ok Im still a Dunkin Donuts fan these are only good if these are fresh/hot but lately they have not been doing that they have the donuts sitting under a heat lamp and they taste funny now. I stopped going there. And the service is ok barely that. They like to pick and choose who they give good service too not sure how but its whatever....not my favorite I would got Krispy Kreme before u go back :-(
