My father has been starting his day with coffee from Spudnuts for over 40 years. He always said "Every destination starts from Spudnuts." I have find memories of him picking me up early from school to go spend time at Spudnuts. Recently he said he was treated terribly by the new ownership several times and has stopped going. The last straw was when they refused to take his punch card as payment for a $2 coffee! Why have a punch card if youre not going to let people use it!? Very disappointing because Ive never known him to go anywhere else for coffee since I was born. What kind of business treats their regulars that terrible!? Id give it negative stars if I could. Go somewhere else because the new ownership does not care about customer satisfaction.

Very sad to say after being gone from the area for quite sometime, coming home and looking forward to Spudnuts donut and coffee (and after bragging to my husband how good their coffee and donuts are) I was very disappointed :-( ...The custard filled donut was 80℅ pastry dough and after finishing nearly all of the donut, finally hit a tiny pocket of custard...What happened to the days when you had custard in every bite? Also the Apple friitter had only a tiny amount of apple in it.... Bummer, dont know if it will be on my list again next time Im in town

Stopped in for a donut then decided i would take a dozen. I was a little nervous as all the cases veey low with limited selection. When i get back to work these donuts are old, broken, very small, dry and irregular in sizes. I called and the actual owner answered and was beyond rude. Never once apologizing. Kept cutting me off saying they was fresh..this morning. What like 2 am this morning this was 2 pm. Dont play me stupid these are not fresh. Wake up there are other donut places in town. I will not be back. I will be disputing the charge

I thought the "Fresh Spudnuts Now" neon sign was to announce when they had a freshly cooked batch come out of the fryer... clearly I was mistaken. I pulled in seeing the sign on and followed my inner fat kid voice telling me to get a Spudnut. I asked the girl working the counter which ones were fresh her reply was "None of them. They were cooked at 10 this morning." This was at 10pm. Oh well. I still bought one and was immediately disappointed when I took a small, reluctant bite.

Good donuts but not up with the times, they wouldnt take my online coupon even though it was added from the Valpak webpage to my apple wallet. The guy had to call his boss because he said if he would honor our coupon and he wasnt allowed she would take it out of his check!! How awful!! (The boss did not answer). Plus he didnt even need to scan my coupon all he needed to do was hit a button on the ancient cash register.

I have to edit my comments because the quality has gone down quite a bit. I dont know if there is a new owner but the frosting and toppings on the donuts is pitiful! Such a thin layer even when the donut is supposed to be filled with cream or custard there is hardly any in there. These used to be my favorite Donuts, Im going to have to find a new donut shop :(

These are the best donuts anywhere, taste is great and the donuts that are filled are loaded. There is no way I would believe the one individual who made the comment about his what his friends supposedly told him. Why would he all of a sudden after going to Spudnuts and thinking it was good, suddenly find four friends who tell him some story about reglazing.

I used to really like Spudnuts, but their quality isnt as good as it used to be. I think the donuts taste dry, and there isnt a big enough discount if you buy a dozen of them. That being said, I still get a craving for their brownies on occasion. They do have pretty good coffee, and good service.

Great donuts. Great selection. However, I was disappointed in the service. Lady behind the counter was not very patient with my kids as they tried to decide. Its hard to make a quick decision with so many good options. If it wasnt for the rude service it would be fine stars.

Dont waste your time. Go to Biagios instead, they actually care about the quality of their donuts. Got a bag of Spuds last night and they were stale 5 hours later when I let my son eat one for breakfast. This place was amazing 10 years ago but really sucks now.

Very dissapointed. Used to love the donuts years ago, but every time I stop for the office, they are dry & have very little glaze on them. Company asked me to stop getting them there & go somewhere else. Charge a bit more & go back to your original recipe

Best donuts in Cleveland, and they (almost) never close. And you can feel healthier knowing that the donuts are made from potato! Bonus -- they have a free "buy 12, get 1 free" dozen donuts card program. Im partial to the old fashioned sour cream donuts.

Good selection of donuts. They will give you a punch card for a free dozen after a purchase of 12. The donuts are better than any store bought ones. Negative is that there was a small flying insect on the lower shelf of the right display unit.

I know 4 different people that worked there and after hearing about the Re glazing of day old donuts to sell the next day that they were told to do by the manager. You would have a better chance of getting fresher food at the petticoat lol lol

Good Donuts resonably priced. Best Service is after 10 PM into the early morning hours. Delicious Cream Filled Donuts and Filled Sticks. I prefer the Chocolate Icing but Maple is also available. YUM :-)

I have ALWAYS loved Spudnuts! Today is Fat Tuesday, and they have gone out of their way to make sure we have Pączki. I love the food and the people! Highly recommended!!!!

Huge donuts. Very good too. Unlike other donuts out there, these things will fill you up. Prices are very reasonable too. Best donuts in the area.

Best donuts in the city of Mentor, hands down. Look out for Batman around 12:30 at night, he usually shows up.
