I have always enjoyed the intimacy of this smaller Tanger compared to others. It is a pretty setting and has enough stores that I like. Yesterday, due to some March snow, I called the Tanger office at this location to make sure they would be open and the nice woman said yes, opening a bit later and all stores closing at 5:00 (earlier than normal). I arrived at the mall around 4:00 and picked up my AAA coupon book from the center office which I usually do in case it saves me money which it often does. I specifically went to the mall this day to get something from the kitchen store, which would be a quick purchase. After getting drawn into a more exciting store first :), I arrived at the kitchen store at exactly 4:45, and it was closed. It was not like they had just closed and locked the doors and employees were still inside, but dark and no one inside. Obviously I was disappointed and will now have to return today if I can find the time on this short trip to Blowing Rock. I have experienced some inconstistency of stores being open vs closed or varying hours of stores in the past. It appears that mall management needs to police store hours better and provide more consistency, unless this is not in some stores leases that they are required to be open consistent with center hours. Outside of this issue, the center is a pleasant, manageable shopping excursion where one can find a nice enough variety of stores without feeling overwhelmed. The parking is easy and accessible, and the retail employees are usually very nice (a reflection of the town and area). Its a nice destination as long as youre not expecting a big city mall experience and offerings. Keep up the good work there and just tweak the consistency of store hours!

Sadly disappointed that this was a Tanger Outlet. Usually, these outlets are much larger with lots of stores where you can easily spend hours and a lot of money shopping. Not so at this one. I was done shopping in about 2 hours. I did spend enough money that when I tallied up my receipts at Guest Services, I got a nice tote bag and some coupons for future shopping. There is a snow board shop but that is the only store geared toward men other than the clothing stores. Sadly, this is true for all the Tanger Outlets that I have been to - nothing for the men. My husband is a good sport and goes with me. He would be happy if you had an electronics store or a real tool store (with DeWalt or similar tools) instead of the imitation ones that some outlets have. Succinctly, the Tanger Outlets at the Shoppes on the Parkway are okay but I seriously doubt that I will go back to them.

I went with my mom and 11 year old daughter. We had a wonderful time and all of our favorite stores happened to be up there. The weather was nice and the shops were terrific--much improved since Tanger took over. We saved a great deal using the coupon book (you get them near the Cheeseburgers Grille). We had a terrific lunch at Cheeseburgers Grille, and the crowds were minimal. We almost went to Gaffney or Charlotte for our shopping day, but boy am I glad we came up to Blowing Rock. We couldnt have had a more pleasant day all around. We will be back knowing that there is a vast improvement to what it was in the past.

I came to the shops on November 11. I called the night before to make sure that the IZOD store was still there. It was after hours so I listened to the message of all the stores there at the shops. I heard my store, IZOD, so I thought it was still open. So I drove an hour and half to get to the shops. I was really surprised to see that the IZOD store was closed, since I had called and heard that they were still open. But, on a high note. I really enjoy coming to the shops. Friendly people in all the shops I go to. There is always a GREAT sale going on. I will continue to come to the shops. I Love Them.

Few bargains, most items overpriced. Not many stores. Myrtle Beach has a big Tanger, this one is sad. To top it off, I received a $10.00 gift card as a gift, but they deducted $2.00/month until I used it, so I only had $4.00 to use. I used $3.19, and they took $0.81 the next day. So I received $3.19 of a $10.00 gift card. Much better deals at the Local Malls and other local stores, sales and clearance sales everywhere! Plus I like to support local merchants, especially when they are just as cheap or cheaper!

Every shop was clean and the staff friendly. The only drawback to this Tanger versus others is that it is small, which means fewer shops. Its a great location with plenty of parking. The Jockey store manager was great and the employees at the Hanes outlet were really helpful. Lunch at the Cheeseburgers Grill was delicious and reasonably priced. Even the bathrooms were warm and clean. I definitely plan to shop there again.

Usual outlet offerings. Most items are full retail or more with 40% or 50% off. I can find better deals at department stores clearance racks or tj maxx. The kitchen store is a joke. I mean, they have nice stuff. But outlet? Everything is full retail, so its not really an outlet. I guess to me an outlet should be a store with deep discounts and final markdowns.

Great that construction is done and the new entrance is open and beautiful. Miss the Kitchen shop that closed. Store selection is fine. not sure prices are always that good. I did pickup a coupon book and was disappointed so few merchants now participate in this - it was as many area attraction coupons as it was for the actual shop.

The person that helped me get my AAA discount book was very pleasant and the new welcome center was very nice and much better that the old one. I only visited two stores but my visit was pleasant. It is nice the see the main road construction about finished and I am sure it will improve the entrance capability to the Tanger Shops.

We shopped at the Van husein/Izod store and sales persons #710 was fabulous. She helped us find everything we were looking for and more. My husband lost 30 lbs and she knew her merchandise so well we bought far more than we anticipated. I was thrilled to have it taken care of in one store.

Love the stores, and the variety! I only wish there were more outdoor focused stores (North Face, Columbia). These would do so very well in the area! Went looking for some last minute leggings for a very cold night, and everyone was very helpful trying to make sure I had some for Ghost Train!

More and more stores are closing. I was here less than a year ago and was told stores would be replacing those closed. While that is true, they are not stores that the average shopper will frequent. We were finished in less than 30 minutes. Hopefully, this will turn around.

Not a huge outlet mall, which I like because it is easy to get around and you arent overwhelmed with too many stores. They have a good mix of stores and good retailers. I dont think outlet malls offer great deals so I have been a bit underwhelmed with some of the prices.
