I just left your location. Bobs True Value Hardware 4805 S.Salina Street, Syracuse NY I entered the store where I saw 3 women and 1 man at the counter (all employees) and asked for someone to help me find the replacement spool for my weedwacker. They told me what isle to find it in and did not accompany me as I had asked. Once in the isle I had NO idea which one I needed so I decided to leave. I thought seeing me head for the door the 5 employees parked at the door would ask if I found what I was looking for. They DID NOT. So I told them "Thank You for NOT helping me!" and left. I did not realize that this store in this location could afford to lose business. I have a value card and shop there as much as possible to help local business but after today I will gladly drive the extra 10 miles to home depot.

I went there 3 times today and each time was shown to what I wanted. I like that. I dont want to be told "its in isle 59". No take me to what I want/need. They asked what I needed if for WHILE taking me to what I asked for. I prefer going to True Value stores over big box stores because I like that everybody working there seems to know what they are talking in all areas. If they dont the next person they ask absolutely does. I also like seeing the same faces each time I go in. I highly recommend Bobs TV.

I discovered the hardware store shortly after I bought a home nearby. The service in a small hardware store beats the daylights out of the Big Box hardware stores. On my most recent trip, I needed a new adapter for my faucet-mounted water filter. I had the old adapter, and took it to a big box store, but they were unable to assist me, they didnt bother to look for anything compatible. In Bobs, the staffer looked at several adapters, and came up with one that may fit my faucet; it did, and Im very happy.

I shop here often. As a small Handyman business in the area, we find Bobs very helpful, this saves countless trips the the big home improvement stores, this saves us time, money, and fuel. Staff is very helpful.
