AFTER HOURS

This place is run like a Joke.... I called to see if they cut nails on a cat and the girl in grooming tells me yes come before 4pm today.. So I go down there 20 min later and there are 5 girls behind the counter and one says ohhh the girl that does the cats went on lunch break and will be back in 30 min. Really ? So I said next time someone calls tell them she takes lunch at this time so come after and before this time. So I said no one else here can do it and they said no you have to be cert ... I said If you can cut dog nails, you can do a cat. Like the rest of the world I have a busy day and could not stand around waiting for 30 min. So I called Patch store and they dont do nails ? WTF ??? So had to drive out to Bayshore petco. I show up in Bayshore and all 5 girls behind the counter can do a cat and no problems or drama... SELDEN SUCKS !!!! Dont go there at all......

I dont know why the ratings arent up higher on this location to be honest. Maybe its the layout of the store, maybe they just dont carry a certain persons needs? But everytime Ive gone here, Ive gotten pretty much everything Ive needed, & the people that work here are the best. Helpful, really nice, & attentive to all questions if you need help. Recently, I went & a worker named Jackie helped me out big time on supplies for a new cat I invited into my home. Really grateful she helped! Ive been shopping here for a while but as of the past year Ive visited more often & it has been a consistently nice shopping experience. Also the veterinarian that comes every Sunday offers so many services for such good deals! Other PetCo locations only do certain dates, this one does it every Sunday!

Just left here we only came for a fish and walked out with a beautiful guinea pig cage food and bedding we are so inlove with her and happy. RUTH one of the workers helped us from start to finish. she was amazing and knew what she was talking about not only that she took our little piggy to get her nails cutt. if your going to petco ask to be helped by RUTH n her only she is really a caring person we are so happy thank you Ruth we will be doing business with this petco more often. This 5 star review is only for RUTH.

Staff is not professional, immature at best. Visited them on a number of occasions only to find the register unattended every time. Once heard screaming from the office from an employee during an obvious argument she had. I called for information on pet products today only to hear a girl answer the phone with a greeting that was so fast it was too difficult to decipher what she said. When I mentioned that she was unintelligible and asked her name, she mumbled again and put me on hold. Terrible service, rude employees, I dont have time for this. I can spend my money elsewhere...

Love this place and their website! It is a one-stop shopping/grooming/training spot for pets! The staff is wonderful and it is obvious they love animals. They make my Goldendoodle feel like a rock star every time he comes in for a grooming or training (both services are excellent by the way)! All four of my dogs (especially my 10 year old hound mix) is thriving on the food our trainer Laura recommended. Our dogs also love the BOGO half off sale on the toys

My experience at the Selden Petco has been wonderful! The staff is friendly, responsive and professional. It is cleaner than some other PetCos Ive been in. Lauren, the dog trainer is excellent. The manager has been very helpful. Im not sure if its under new supervisors but I was very surprised to read the other reviews. Give it a try...Petco rewards add on...I get my heavy bag of dog food from them online. Great price and easier on the back! Susan McDermott

Huge selection of pet supplies. Pretty much anything you will need. We looked online for a cat collar but were unsure of quality. We found the perfect one at Petco and the price was the same as online minus shipping and having to wait. Seems a bit understaffed and noone helped us. Guy at register seemed more involved with customers on the phone rather than customers actually buying stuff on the line. Apart from that, would definetly go back.

While the store may get hectic at times (especially on the weekends with the adoption events), I have always found the employees friendly and helpful. Lauren (trainer) was awesome and her knowledge and love of the dogs shines through as she teaches you how to work with your dog. Im there every week between supplies for my lizard, tortoises, and dogs and training classes. I highly recommend this store.

This store needs to change their staff. Inside for 20 or so minutes shopping for my dog who was waiting in the car, and a crowd of brown nosers was talking about how i was mistreating my dog by leaving her in the car. they lost my businesses. if they were real professionals theyd be in a vets office.

i was looking for fish to get there, and they didnt have many. i bought some cheep fish, and they had brought ich to my community tank. they are more of a pets supplies store. they have repltiles some furry animals and birds. the employees dont answer your questions and are very rude and grumpy.

Not a bad place to go to. Had a argument with the manger because they left the ferret cage open and i pet one. He went nuts and i almost had to drop him. Other then that,no problems there.

The store always feels understaffed and its not really the best looking store either. If there was a PetSmart close by I would recommend to go there but sadly there is not.

Lots of items in stock for dogs, and cats. Good amount for some other animals too. Very nice staff and pet friendly to big your pet inside.

Petco isnt the place where pets go, its the place where dogs go. They dont service cats which feel is unfair. I dont think i will be back
