I was buying a pair of sneakers, and that day the store was experiencing system errors so there machines werent working right, so the line was long and people were restless. Nevertheless, I waited patiently until it was my turn to checkout. I went through three transactions that day because the first two "didnt go through" as per the manager! I was told I would not be charged the first two times and that if there was a problem Im to call customer service. Well, I did call customer service who supposedly ran a background check and couldnt find where I made a purchase -__- so basically, I ended up spending 60 dollars on a 15 dollar pair of sneakers because there was "nothing they could do about it". This is the worst company. ***Word of advice?*** if youre gonna shop at Payless, dont purchase anything if their systems are down.

Shopping in this store is an exercise in futility. The manager is CONSTANTLY on his phone (seemingly personal calls) therefore screws up anything you ask him for and makes a simple check out take 8x as long! I made the mistake of doing a special order with him...needless to say, he messed it up...the shoes didnt get to me in time, I had to re-place the order online anyway (therefore losing the sale price that I had used the day I ordered in store)...I had to call the store three times to get to the bottom of it (since no one called back when they said they would)..and am now told I will have to come back to the store for them to refund the charge they did in the store, for shoes I never got!! Save yourself the ridiculous aggravation and shop online
