Lots of great items, options, products, great hot bar, takeout sandwiches, juices, smoothies, etc. But checkout always unpleasant. Never can figure out why a pro-HEALTH place insists he on being so negative and unfriendly. Every employee scowled or frowned...except the nice young girl at juice bar who was very helpful. The one tine i asked a question, the guy was clearly not in any mood to help. The bulk items are always a favorite of mine, but I feel like Im getting overcharged bc you just have to trust them to charge you the right amount. Theres NO way to write the # on each item/bag. At checkout, I watched like a hawk and still feel unsure I was fairly charged, much less did they tare anything when weighing it. This alone feels like a ripoff. I try to support small biz, but this place is why I still happily, consistently prefer/frequent whole foods. Customer service is not in this stores top 5 priorities. Stocking, shelving, and sighing is.

I came here regularly and never had any problems. Their selection has always been good and the prices fair enough. Last time I went with my service dog who I do not always have with me, especially for quick trips and an owner/manager told me I could bring him it. Fine. I showed him his ID and explained that hes a service dog Etc and he told me that I dont look sick and there is nothing wrong with me and its disgusting to bring a dog into a place that sells food. (As a side note, hes not only well trained but extremely clean). Illegal and incredibly offensive.

Happened to stop in this week to grab a quick dinner on the go - a chicken wrap from their prepared foods counter. When I happened to open it and bite in, I found mold - the most concentrated amount I have ever seen - throughout THE ENTIRE THING. I cant even imagine how long it had been sitting out there. It wasnt worth it to bring it back, as I had already traveled a ways away from the store, but I couldnt let this story go unheard. I will never, EVER patronize this establishment again. I hope others do the same.

I have been to Health Nuts for years and never really had an issue. I usually spend between $40 to $100 when I go. The last two times I went the workers there followed me around as I was going to steal something. Second time being the worst when I took my mother there. I didnt want to lash out at them but they were very rude. Everywhere we went to look for items they would tell us to move. This is the last time I go to that dump. Theyve even gotten more expensive. NOT WORTH IT!!

The products they sell are great BUT the workers have bad attitudes that makes you not want to shop their. They take all the fun out of shopping in that store, the way i saw them treat other customers of different races smh sad... Sucks theres not enough health nuts around cause that one on 99th street service sucks... There are however few workers that are very nice but the Indian people running the registers are so rude.

The Health Nuts came through for me with a delivery when I really needed it. We had a bit of misunderstanding at first, but it was eventually resolved, and they were gracious when it counted the most. Its a great store for lots of organic and specialty items, and I encourage people in the neighborhood to support it.

Quite possibly. Whenever I go to another health food store, I compare the prices and Health Nuts is always the cheapest and by a good amount too. They also have a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, etc. I wish they would open one in Brooklyn since Ill be moving there shortly.

This place is great for natural and organic foods you wouldnt normally find at grocery stores. Its also great for vitamins. I love the bulk section, for zero-waste shopping. The staff are knowledgeable. The deli counter is expensive, but so are all in NYC. I love this store!

Interesting selection of cereals, nuts and grains in bulk. The narrow aisles and the huge variety of products can make sometimes difficult to find specific items. That said the staff is friendly and happy to assist.

They used to have a Dr. Patel years ago back in 1999-2000 He was great, I like the fact they carry some very good stuff and trusted Brands like "Weleda" products awesome ! a little pricey now but good service

Not the friendliest staff but they have the best nuts selection in NYC. Can also modernize their scales to the type that weigh items and prints out receipt with weight and price details.
