Jacks is THE place for custom meats-- forget the supermarkets! Heres my long-winded story... When I needed a certain cut of boneless pork, none of the supermarkets had it. I tried ordering it... Foolishly, I called Stop & Shop first. The Stop & Shop meat dept was downright rude. On top of that, Stop & Shop kept insisting I order bone-in before actually hanging up on me. Forget Stop & Shop. Next, I called Shop Rite, who said the meat would take a few days. When I came in the scheduled day, the Shop Rite meat dept had no idea what I was talking about and said, "There aint no pork butt back there." The guy at Shop Rite tried to take my order again and I watched him misspell "boneless". Thats when I said "No way," because Shop Rite messed up my plans-- besides, I needed the meat already, like we had agreed. I wasted no more time at Shop Rite, and never will again. I went home worrying about the dinner that was hours away. Thankfully, I found the number for Jacks Meats and Deli. The staff at Jacks (perhaps it was Jack?) was very nice over the phone. Not only did Jacks have exactly what I wanted in stock, but they had organic too. They even guessed the type of dish I was cooking and gave me a nice suggestion about it. I was told I could come down right away to Jacks and pick it up. I found Jacks Meats & Deli to be a WONDERFUL store, crammed full of everything you could want from a butcher shop and deli, including a knowledgeable staff! And just a few feet down the street is a health foods store with a variety of spices for very cheap, so Jacks has a convenient location as well. Jacks Meats & Deli saved my night. They are the REAL DEAL!

I went here to get a sandwich, I ordered a simple sub with extra hot peppers. The woman who took my order was extremely rude to me and charged me $2.00 for some extra hot peppers. All in all, the food was decent, too expensive and the service extremely rude and unpleasant. I will not being returning here at all during the time I live in New Paltz.

Despite people saying the lady is rude she is off alittle I would say kinda seems she doesnt want to be there but besides that the meat is delicious alittle expensive but is the best I have had in a long time definitely a special occasion type for me but definitely will be back eventually lol

Good options but the woman working the deli is extremely rude. I even saw her berate another customer once. Wont be going back for fear of being harrassed on my lunch break.

Good Deli. Also have other things you wouldnt expect like extension chords and batteries, etc. Very convenient.
