Jacobson Pharmacy is far from your typical "mom and pop" pharmacy -- its a pharmacy that its patients use consistently because its pharmacists and its staff make it more like a second family to come to -- to help you get better. It is not some foreign territory of mass amounts of space like those horrific 24/7 pharmacies where the people working there could care less what your name was, never mind how much insulin you took, but only if your prescription was "on time", covering their own behinds, over something as not controlled as insulin. Or filling your prescription, with or without insurance, --- and dare without, you will be paying hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Maybe thousands. At Jacobsons Pharmacy, a prescription in almost any variation of medications is affordable to almost anyone, especially someone you may have recently aged out of their insurance or is in between getting insurances due to the constant changing of careers being a young adult in New York. Jacobson main pharmacist, Greg, is the definition of a man who is compassionate, respectful, very knowledgeable -- a hard worker -- and who should be considered one of Mount Kiscos most caring men when it comes to his patients, the people he cures everyday -- whether it be a simple virus you must wait to pass, he, along with the rest of the staff, will let you know what items to purchase over the counter, or if it is something else like a controlled medication for anxiety, Greg and his team will in all actuality -help you- while remaining as professional as possible .. entirely unlike the people that work behind the counter at the well known other chain pharmacies, which we all know well, drive by, shop at, but do NOT trust getting our medication at. Why do we not get our medications from these shopping center/chain pharmacies do you ask? Because -- these large chain pharmacies, that are so very nearby us, are made up of the following: just another cold person, pharmacist or not, standing behind a counter, who because they care more about themselves, their job and their company and so very little about an actual person with an actual illness -- rather than help you they will make up some excuse, telling you to come back another time or day -- or worse, first they will give you a hard time, throwing numbers and dates at you that they wont explain to you and you do not entirely understand, only aware that you are feeling unwell and now unwelcome and they will not help. You know that Jacobson is a place full of hard working people that you can count on. Or if you are there in the pharmacy for a walker or a wheel chair -- they have nothing but the best and will spend an infinite amount of time with you until you are both comfortable and happy. I am pretty positive I have never seen anyone leaving big chain pharmacies happy, but every customer leaving Jacobson always leaves with a friendly goodbye and a smile on their face, which at times is so wonderful to see it amazes me. I cannot recall any pharmacy that is so superb at doing their job, which when it comes down to it, is helping people and making them well again. I know I can safely say that pharmacist Greg and the rest of the staff there have done just that for myself and my family any time we have gotten so sick. We want a pharmacy where the people trying to make us well are human and kind enough to know us by our names, -- by our doctors, medications, and are willing to do whatever is in their reach to make us feel well again all the while remaining as professional as can be. To be able to speak to us; explain to us things our doctors may not have. And that is exactly what Robert Jacobson Surgical Pharmacy does for its patients. We all thank you all so much.

I have been going to this pharmacy for more years than I can recall. I used to live in Bedford, very easy to access them. I now live in Lake Carmel. I still use them as my one and only Rx because I am treated like a human being, not #829742. Whats more, I did a review of all the big guys and Jacobsons BEAT K-Mart, Walmart, CVS, all the big chains. So, if they are cheaper, they treat you like a human, why on earth would you choose any other pharmacy? Matthew Carroll

These guys are old school and I mean this in only the best way. Memories of how pharmacies used to be. These guys actually care and compound medications on site. Also, compare prices for generic and you will find that these guys are much more affordable than any of the major brands. I drive from Ridgefield CT to pick up specific meds here. Well worth it.

This is one of the only places around that will compound drugs. My son has been so much happier with the liquid form of his medcine than the tablets that always made him gag and vomit. Plus the pharmacist and staff are friendly and understanding. It is usually pretty busy in there though so you may have to wait a few minutes.

Jacobsons is like having a good neighbor who is always there to help you get what you need. I have been going to Jacobsons for over 20 years and I have never been disappointed. They are helpful, honest and fair and I go out of my way to get to their Pharmacy (it is not the closest to my home). Thanks for being there for us!

Excellent pharmacy and pharmacists who go out of their way to get you medications other crappy pharmacies dont carry. I recommend Jacobsons to all my patients and use them for my own meds.
