I have to say that I have just written wonderful 5-star reviews of all of our wedding vendors and it makes me sad that I was so disappointed on my wedding day by the flowers we spent a fortune on. The last thing a bride wants to see in the brides room are bouquets of hydrangeas with brown spots on them. All boutonnieres were wilted and turning brown despite the fact that Mahopac Flower Shop personally delivered them and we left them in water. My Dads boutonniere was brown and droopy and quite frankly, beyond dead :-( My mother and I had gone there to talk about flowers and we found the people a bit cold, but chose to give our business to a small and local business...HUGE MISTAKE because our centerpiece flowers came from SHOP RITE and were beautiful, fresh and nearly 1/3 of the price. The flouriest at Shop Rite was taken back by what were charged, stating that she didnt understand why they would charge such high prices, when they shop for their flowers in the same place. We feel very taken advantage of. They Charged us between $25-30 for 4 wilting Hydrangeas, tied with the stems pointing all over the place. Those were just my bridesmaids flowers! My Bridal Bouquet had brown spots throughout it and cost about $125. I actually cried when I saw the flowers that we had spent a few hundred dollars on. How could a business do that to someone on their wedding day and still take pride in their business? The reason we went to Shop Rite for our centerpiece flowers was because Mahopac Flower Shop wanted to charge us $40+ for 3 stems of Hydrangeas in Mason Jars that WE WERE PROVIDING. When my mother questioned this, the lady on the other end of the phone replied "Well, thats what it costs." I was disgusted when I heard that response. SHOP RITE charged us $16 for 5 (healthy) stems of Hydrangeas plus another flower to accent the blue Hydrangeas and they were beautiful! CONSUMERS BEWARE: THIS BUISINESS IS OVERPRICED AND SLOPPY. We wished we had ordered EVERYTHING through Shop rite instead.

I contacted Mahopac Flower Shop to send a special birthday arrangement to a friend. I spoke with Michael and he created a breathtaking floral arrangement. When my friend received it she was thrilled and couldnt thank me enough. I am really happy to have found this shop since I live in Florida and my friend is in Somers, NY. I thought I should write this review so that others who are not familiar with their work would feel confident buying long distance from them. Thank you so much, Michael for rising to the occasion!! Stunning arrangement!

We used Mahopac Flower Shop twice this week; for a wedding and (sadly) a funeral. The owner assisted us with our selections/orders and truly surpassed out expectations for both occassions. The wedding bouquets and centerpieces were gorgeous and I received numerous compliments from guests. Michael and his staff are talented, helpful, and accommodating. The flowers were fresh and beautiful. Ill use this shop again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a creative and skilled florist. They are a cut above!

It is easy to see how much love goes into every arrangement created at this flower shop; they are breathtakingly gorgeous. The funeral pieces we ordered surpassed our expectations and they didnt rob us like other local places have in the past. The shop is a great place to find one-of-a-kind gifts for your friends who have everything. All this PLUS an owner who makes you feel like a lifelong best friend.

Received Mothers Day arrangement yesterday, pink roses were brown tipped looked old, this morning the hydrangeas are wilted and droopy. The vase was only half filled with water when they arrived, some of the stems were not long enough to even reach the water, the bow around the vase was soaked with water and dripping all over the counter. Super disappointed and I feel bad for the money spent on these.

They did the flowers for our wedding. Amazing job! The arrangements and décor were beautifully done. The flowers lasted for weeks after the wedding too. Staff here are great. Its a nice local place. Highly recommend!
