Ill pay for pricey produce/products because the quality is there. My issue is with the rude staff. On weekdays, I go to this store about twice daily (brekkie and lunch) and in several occasions, Ive had some very unpleasant encounters. Today in particular, I tried to pay for my lunch, th chip reader failed twice, manual entry at the cash register failed twice and the receipt indicated that the stores machine was not functioning properly. The rude cashier holds up the receipt for me to see it and stares at me. I asked her what she was going to do next- it didnt say I had insufficient funds or that my bank declined the charges. She said it isnt working in a dismissive manner. I explained to her this wasnt my issue, and again asked for the next step. A team leader just beside her said she would try to use my card, meanwhile the first cashier and the team leader were both arguing with me still about how thats what they do, show the receipt. Which is fine, but you also need to come up with a solution. Maybe try to help me pay at one of your other (at least) 10 cash registers. The manager was standing nearby, he heard part of this and after my card worked at the second machine, I recalled what happened from the beginning and let him know how dissatisfied I was with the cashier dismissing me, as if I didnt have the money to pay for my food. What did the manager do, you ask? Say ok, asked if I paid and walked me out of the store. The Team lead and original cashier still chiming in rude comments the whole time. Yeah I think Im done with this place.

The quality has definitely decreased over the past few months. Ive had to return produce on 2 different occasions within a stan of 2 months. Other times, I just throw it out. The worst is the lack of hygiene that happens by the ladies at the fresh baked stand. Just yesterday, one of the girls was typing on the cashier then scratched her head and proceeded to touch the bread I had requested. When I asked for another that she had not touched, she looked as if it was not a big deal. And to make it worse, she put it back! Last time I was there, one of the girls was wearing gloves, moved a mop bucket, then touched a pastry without changing gloves! They really need to teach hygiene at this location. Ive resorted to Amazon Fresh or going to Key Foods for last minute items. The extra walk is worth my health.

Nice selection of goods and nicely presented store that is bright and clean. Id shop here more often but its just too expensive. I get you pay for convenience but some of the prices are double what youd pay from Fresh Direct (who arent exactly cheap themselves) for exactly the same product, and you could find cheaper basics from local delis or DR down in Hunters Pt. Pizza counter is nice but again you could find a cheaper but still good quality slice from other places in the neighbourhood.

A me-too Whole Foods with lesser choices. They have a good beer selection - if you are going for produce, prepare to lose half your paycheck. Their organic produce is reidiculously expensive - $8 for a box of strawberries, $26 for an organic whole chicken etc. Shop selectively here - look for deals , find special things exclusive to the store and focus on those. I wouldnt shop here for regular groceries - even organic stuff is available at better prices at Keyfoods etc.

texting is more important to one of the girls working at the coffee and bakery section then serving customers. today and a week ago as well she avoided me and had me wait for the other girl serving another customer while she attended to her cell phone. last week it was the manager who observed the fact that I was waiting while she was available and paid no attention to waiting customers. it seems that not much is done by management in handling bad employees.

The staff is very courteous, attentive, and always goes the extra mile. Have never reviewed a grocery store before, but felt I needed to after today. Despite being very busy (I was buying groceries during the lunch rush hour), the cashier spotted some mold on my blackberries and insisted I go back to grab a new container. Little things like that mean a lot to customers. Thank you!

Really great food store near a ton of trains, mainly the Court Square station. Tons of options, and varieties. Manages a more general Whole Foods vibe. Very, very rarely do that not have something Im looking for. Well staffed and checkout is always quick due to employees plenty of employees working the registers. Clean, reasonably priced, and well stocked with everything I need.

Seul endroit du quartier où trouver (pour le moment) des produits bio. Bonne alternative aussi pour avoir un repas/dîner sans attendre et surtout large choix en libre service.

Id describe Foodcellars selection as somewhere between Key Foods and Whole Foods, with prices slightly higher than the latter. That said, this place is a tremendous convenience and a lifeline in a neighborhood with few small food retailers and no greenmarket. I mostly stay away from the prepared food, but Im willing to grant a bonus star for a pretty decent fish counter.

Used to like this store, but have been keeping a close eye on their prices, which steadily keep increasing. Needless to say, the quality of the products has been going down too. They will definitely work this to their advantage as they are the only grocery store in the area. Hope they have some competition soon...

Except for the stale "fresh product", all cashiers attitude were so so so bad!!!! Why we spend money with such a terrible attitude!!! I sincerely suggest the this supermarket to Check the cashiers attitude and tell them to Learn how to treat your customer before they stand there to serve people !!

Just a tad pricey, but good selection of fresh produce, meats, and beers. The made-to-order pizzas are fantastic! We loved that they always had cheeses out for sampling and we often purchased it because of this. But recently they stopped leaving samples, would be great to see them out again!

Good luck finding fresh products! Mediocre service and food quality for the prices they charge. Lucky for them, they pretty much have a monopoly in the neighborhood so they dont have to satisfy their clientele and they know it. And, management doesnt respond to customer complaints.

Úplne super potraviny. Majú všetko od výmyslu sveta. Najmä poteší vlastná pripravovňa jedál, vrátane ázijských.

Very much like Whole Foods but on a smaller but more expensive scale. The buffet/prepared food area is great - Ive had too many a ramen after a night of drinking :) Also a very good cheese and beer selection. Docked one star for the prices. Ugh.

Its like a lower quality Whole Foods. Its close to where I live and so more convenient than Whole Foods for me, but they dont have the 365 brand and overall their products are just lower quality. That being said, theyre still good.

Convenient. I get that. Prices do not correspond to quality. Prices approach Manhattan Whole Foods while food is not as fresh. We shop at Food Cellar as a backup, not as a main store. Hope they reconsider their pricing model.
