The reason why i am giving this store a 3 star rating and review is because its an alright store. Some employees are very helpful but, there are also some who are very unorganized and fail to multitask properly. My past experiences were great. Until i recently pre-ordered a game and paid in full while purchasing a few other game titles and this was my very first time pre-ordering from GameStop. The employee confirmed that i paid for the pre-ordered game title in full as i was preparing to exit the store. To my knowledge i paid in full with cash for the pre-ordered game because that was my main objective and the other game titles came to mind during my entrance to the store, i didnt have the appropriate amount so i decided to use the debit card. I quickly glanced at my receipt and later found out i only paid $5.00 and said i purchased a GameStop card for $14.99 including activation charges. I dont even have the card? The one i received was free variant back in 2010. I tried to resolve the issue 2 weeks before and on/after the day of release but, they said i only paid $5.00 when i obviously paid $59.99+ City/State taxes. The outcome of this was to just cancel the pre-order and get a refund of the supposedly $5.00 i only paid. My advice to those who are reading this review/rating is be prepared to walk into an unorganized store with a new inexperienced manager who will fail to meet your needs along with some employees who are all over the place and will rip you off by tricking you into purchasing a GameStop card and will talk you into putting down a $5.00 down payment to reserve your pre-ordered game even though you want to pay in full while also making it seem like theyre rushing you so that they can get to the other customers or will tell you to wait so they can assist someone else and come back to you and forget to put in a transaction. My lesson from this situation was to make sure to thoroughly inspect my GameStop receipts and stay on my toes while staying a step ahead of the employee. I dont think i will be purchasing anything else from them in the near future.
