Since Im far from the first positive reviewer here, Im going to join the bandwagon and say that the Wine cave is hands down the most exceptional wine store around, in more ways than one. All those who get past the medieval style gates and bricked walls are mesmerized by the decor and ambiance that gives the store a welcoming feeling even before being greeted by the staff. Anyone who has ever step foot in The Wine Cave knows that the staff is like no other. Starting with the friendly salespeople who are not just there to sell wine, but rather to give every person a wine experience like no other. Next, (if youre lucky enough) you will meet the owner Moishe, better known as Moe, who will have you laughing and sampling wines within minutes of your arrival. Although all of this is what keeps me a devoted customer, it doesnt hurt knowing that their Im paying an excellent price for my wine; which I now have a new-found appreciation for. (thanks Moe!)Businesses like this one are near extinction, but one visit to the wine cave and you will realize the 5 star rating it has acquired is the understatement of the century. So, get on your shoes, head down to the Wine Cave and send Moishe my regards! Happy Drinking!

The Wine Cave is a beautifully designed shop with a gem of a connoisseur at its helm. The neighborhood has long lacked the true essence of a wine shop: a ridiculously knowledgeable owner who can translate anything you say into the flavor youll be savoring tonight. Moishy- (the owner of the shop) will match your mood every time. From my short time in the store I could see he has a lot of loyal customers. The shop is open long hours, offers quick delivery and is decently priced. Walk in on a rainy Tuesday, and youll be offered a pretty red. On Sunday afternoons, it may be a light crisp sauvignon blanc. Customer service is a dying art but Moishy is a throwback to the days when small business owners sincerely cared about the well-being of their customers. He even remembered to ask if I had a wine opener and gave me one as a gift when I told him I do not. Its nice to see someone who really loves what they do. Overall I had an amazing experience and will definitely be visiting The Wine Cave again!

A year ago I wrote the following review for the Wine Cave... "Moishe and his staff always make guests feel welcome. They are extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and they remember their customers. Niche wine and liquor stores have a tendency to cast an aura that they are unapproachable. The Wine Cave, however, is not that type of place. What a breath of fresh air! I have been fortunate enough to work in some of the best restaurants in New York City, so I will say, the breadth of assortment and hospitality continually demonstrated at the Wine Cave is on par! Go!" Every time I patron the Wine Cave (and I really like wine and bourbon so I go a lot), I love it even more! Joseph, Shaoli, and AJ make everyone feel so welcome and appreciated. Beyond their spirits knowledge they are very funny too! You should go and get to know them. Thank you Wine Cave for all the good times to come! -Matthew

The Wine Cave almost makes me want to be an alcoholic. Yes. I said it. I would make it my home if it were even remotely possible. I mean, two floors of incredible, heart warming, out of this world Alcoholic beverages. Wines. So many wines. Everywhere. The peak of it all isnt the wine though, its the customer service that makes that purchase Madison Avenue worth. Seriously. The employees are all very well versed in the stock they carry. If you hadnt a clue about what youre looking for, they will make sure you walk out of there with a smile from ear to ear. The decor is sharp, modern and very 21st century. It is really such a pleasure spending money at The Wine Cave. Im even smiling while writing this review, just thinking about the next time Ill be going back. Followed by their sister store Liquors Galore in Flatbush, I am so glad I found a wine store I can call home.

Finally got over to the Wine Cave last night. Great spot. A friendly welcome as soon as the door opened, a beautiful layout that will make you stop to look around and probably shop for more than you came in for. But the real highlight for me was the amazingly large and versatile selection of Whiskey from all over the world. From the little craft guys here in NY to the hardest fine bottles that Scotland has ever produced, these guys have it all. It should really be called the Whiskey Cave. Go in and ask for Joseph if you want to talk Whiskey. If he likes you enough he may just pull a sample of something you have never had before out from under the desk! Apparently they have another location in Flatbush too. Cant wait to go explore their selection as well. I have found my new spot to spend my hard earned cash. Treat yourself and get over there asap. Cheers! #WhiskeyJake

Wow! What can I say about this amazing wine store! Not only do they have wine.... They have Titos Vodka!! Plus they have other liquors, like bourbon, scotch, etc. When I went there to get wine, Moshe was so passionate about the wines and explained the history of where it came from and he knew which wines to pair with what I was cooking. He sold me amazing wines and he was dead on, cause the wine made the dinner and my company enjoyed it to no end! The service all around was excellent. Plus they give samples out, which I loved!! If you are in the area, I recommend this store for anyone looking for a little history lesson on wine, sample wines of the bottles they have open, enjoying a great atmosphere, excellent service, product knowledge, etc... This place I want to give 20 stars!! I am a repeat costumer and tell only my best friends!!!

Every single time Ive come here, the service has been fantastic, the sommeliers have been very knowledgeable and there are plenty of delicious wines for even a small budget. Joseph and Eli have both helped me find great wines within 15 dollars or so, and every suggestion they have made I have enjoyed. Since I first came here, Ive been treated with courtesy and generosity, and they have most assuredly earned my loyal patronage. I highly recommend them to anyone, wine connoisseur or wine newbie alike, as they will make sure you have the best possible experience, and youll be eager to return for another selection.

Moishe is a very enthusiastic and friendly expert of wine and whisky. It was my first time in his cozy wine cave - and he already gave me the feeling as if I would be a patron of his business. I was looking for a nice french red which goes well with cheese and Moishe recommended a 2011 La Martine Côtes du Rhône for $29.99. A reasonable price with respect to Moishes expert advice and the quality of the wine. The wine was fantastic! Moishes wine cave also hosts a stunning selection of Bourbons, Scotchs and Whiskeys and he will always offer you a shot of his favourite. 6 Stars! I will come back.
