This has to be one of the best experiences Ive had not just in a game store, but in a store in general. Despite the small size of their store compared to other game stores, they have a wide selection of games old and new. I personally found their prices to be fair. The staff there are really nice. Ive only had one trip there, and Ive called them three times, but they seemed really nice. They treat you with the utmost respect and my experiences with calling them have been amazing. They are genuinely kind and very helpful to their customers. If it wasnt so far from where I lived, Id go there every week! If youre looking for a place to buy games old and new, Gotham City Games is the best around! EDIT: Once again, had another amazing experience here. I accidentally purchased the wrong item and even though they already closed they let me switch it out with the item I originally intended to buy without any hassle AT ALL.

Best store ever when my friend and I found it we were loving the store right away after we found it we never went back to gamestop maybe like once or twice for game cards. And as soon as Gotham has them my friend and I will have not one purpose to go to game stop anymore. I am not trying to put hate on GameStop but Gotham is better and is very nice to teenagers for instance my self and my friend. Ralph is always friendly and so are all the other workers. I do miss their old tornaments they were fun to watch. But apart from that they play awesome game play, movies, maybe play some games as well. They can even allow u to chill there for a bit and then leave when the store closes. I really suggest this for all gamers who like retro and not. Check it out amazing. And have fun their.

They have... EVERYTHING THAT I WANTED for the past 4 years of searching. I got a copy of the REAL Pokemon Fire Red Ive been looking for the past 4 years, and Sonic Adventure DX that Ive been looking for 2 years now. Other than that, theres an NES Action Pack set with the console and everything. There are Super Famicom and Japanese N64 games there. But theres a whole lot more to see here. Ralph is such a nice guy too, and he was honest about the GBA SP I was looking for but didnt find, an AGS-101 model, but it was the 001, but thats alright. Go to this place for new, retro, and SUPER retro games and consoles. You wont regret it. And BTW, Pocket Monsters Red is there, or the Japanese Pokemon Red.

This is such a great store. The guys there are nice, and are willing to talk about games for a while. They have some of the best prices in the city, also. Easy access from the 86th street R train station. I have been here multiple times and will never stop. This is truly the best game store in the city, and a hidden gem that can take some searching and some travel (the R train is EXTREMELY tedious at times) but is well worth your time and money.

This place is sooo awesome. Its basically a heaven for oldschool gamers. They have all kinds of games in this store, im talking about generations back in time from nes to ps4 games. I walked in there and saw my whole childhood in seconds, left the place with 2 gamecube games and awesome link portrait. Automatic 5 stars.

Mostly toys and gaming geek paraphernalia but the staff (really its just the main young guy with the dreadlocks) is awesome, very knowledgeable, talkative and helpful. They have a good selection of 8-16bit stuff with mostly commons from the later generations. Good trade in policy. Now if only they got an A/C....

The store has all the games you need for your favorite retro titles and the staff is amazing!!! . Definitely a store I would recommend for any retrogamer. i bought a NES mint COB, and if i had more time, would expend all day searching the games. thanks a lot!

The store is awesome. The people who work there will take there time, they dont push you to buy things,they let you try out all the stuff they have. They are good people there and I would definenty go there again

This was a nice gem to find. The store has all the stock you need for your favorite retro titles and the staff is amazing. Ralph was really accommodating. Definitely a store I would recommend for any gamer.

The workers are really nice and there are tons of games to buy at a reasonable price and there are sometimes tournaments for smash bros or mortal kombat, etc, its an awesome place!!!!

The staff are helpful, the prices are reasonable and the store is not in a crowded area. My only complaint is that the store is small, so it doesnt have a big selection of games.
