So my 293rd review goes to the popular Doughnut Plant!! Ive been to numerous popular and legendary doughnut shops in the NYC/NJ metro but I dont know why its taken me so long to come here because they are the only ones that have the Tres Leches Donut. But good news, finally made the trip here today on this lovely Sunday afternoon and bad news is they were all sold out of the Tres Leches Donut (Sheds a tear LOL) Their menu is simple and to the point. They dont offer as many flavors like other popular doughnut spots, but I kinda like it that way because you wont go crazy trying to decide like myself. lol. I tried the Red Velvet donut and it was okay, not in my top 5 of Red Velvet donuts I have had. The texture was okay and didnt jump out at you just average to be honest. It could be that it was not a freshly made donut which may have made the difference. However, the place is pretty tight in space which was not sexy at all. Their was very limited seating inside. Dont think I will be back unless I can be guaranteed that they will have a fresh Tres Leches Donut waiting for me lol. Average donuts based on my personal experience. If I happen to be in the area I would try them again but would not go out of my way.

LOVE this place. The staff is incredibly helpful and patient and even gave me a free doughnut when they didnt have enough almond milk for my coffee. So surprisingly wonderful and a great way to start the day :) Conveniently located near almost every train @ the Atlantic Ave/Barclays station (or the 2/3 at Bergen). Their attitude and professionalism has gotten me hooked, aside from the fact that the doughnuts are to die for - there are more flavors than I could even count and doughseed minis as well if you want to try a few different kinds without having to share. Their coffee is also very highly recommended!

Donuts are super super greasy...you can also taste the flour in the donut and the frosting tastes a little salty. If you are into the salty sweet flavor you might like this place a lot. Also, I have had some AMAZING donuts, hands down the best Ive ever had that cost less than a dollar a donut. I went with basic, because if you cant get the basic then you probably cant get the rest right, and I paid almost $4 a donut...wow. I think the trendy donut shops spend more time trying to stand out that they forget to make a quality product first. My 2 cents. Loved the Chase commercial though.

This place has the best doughnuts!! I was so excited when I learned they had expanded here from the Lower East Side. The staff are very kind and friendly. The expanding menu is the best. On Mothers Day I brought my mom and we ordered 4 of their rose themed doughnuts for the occasion and they gave us an entire box with extra doughnuts at no extra cost!! Its so great that they have vegan options as well. I recommend the Horchata Latte, The Matcha Green Tea Latte, The Brooklyn Blackout Doughnut, the Tres Lechés Doughnut, and The Pistachio doughnut :)

Very cool spot in Brooklyn, nice atmosphere. Doughnuts are greats, as well as the Vietnamese coffee ------------------ Coin vraiment sympa dans Brooklyn, parfait pour se poser. Le café vietnamien est vraiment sympa, à tester !

These are very high quality donuts! The flavors are intense; expect every donut to taste exactly as its name describes it, without being overwhelmingly sweet. The cake donuts have a perfect texture. The yeast donuts have a good texture, but just slightly too firm. Filled donuts have a good balance of filling to dough, without being excessive. Overall, this has been one my favorite donuts shops Ive ever visited. Most recommended donut: Carrot Cake.

Some people may just turn around when seeing the prices but these doughnuts are heavenly. My favorite doughnuts are the cake because they are perfectly dense and all of the flavors are great. Also the staff is really nice and they usually give you some free doughnuts when theyre about to close and are very nice. Ive never had a doughnut i never liked so make sure you try the crazy flavors, they may seem weird but i bet you they will taste great!

Absolutely no better than good grocery store donuts. The flavors are creatively conceived but fundamentally banal. The prices are similar to another far superior donut shop in the area, but that other one actually goes through the effort of making their donuts fresh throughout the day. This place is essentially a tarted up donut chain. Not fresh, not warm, not anything worth paying a premium for.

I decided to finally try the doughnuts everyone has been raving about. I bought 3 doughnuts: the tres leche, vanilla bean, and creme brule...complete garbage! All 3 were dense and tasted like theyd been soaking in old oil all day. The overly sweet icings didnt help matters either, all I could taste was the oil, heavy dough, and the sugar-like substance. I think Ill stick to Dunkin and kreepy kreme.

Great selection of donuts, however we tried 4 different ones and they all were way too sweet, and pricey as well. I dont mind paying more for a high quality stuff but in this case I feel like these are overpriced and theres a huge hype around the place. E.g. the pistachio donut was quite tasteless IMO. The staff is very friendly though. Our favorite was definitely the chocolate-hazelnut one.

Was excited to try this place, but was disappointed to discover that the doughnuts were just generally overpriced and underwhelming. Tried several different flavors, and just didnt feel that quality of the doughnut (or dough seed or whatever name they gave the things) justified each individual doughnut costing $3+ . Go try a Cronut or something more interesting for the price.

Great group of people behind the counter! Fun to interact with and informative. Visited on a cold Saturday evening, there was plenty of seating available, my friend had a very creamy matcha latte and I had a specialty coffee with beans harvested from Honduras I believe which was very robust in flavor, and the green chocolate mint filled Christmas tree donuts were really good!

I do not eat doughnuts, but I often get doughnuts for Kenny (Deep Ocean Nail & Spa, Bklyn NY) who does my pedicure as a small thank you for the great job he does taking care of my toes! Kenny swears that the doughnuts from Doughnut Plant are very very good, thats why I give them 5 stars....PB & BlackBerry jam & PB & Banana Cream are just a few of the doughnut he likes

Its a really nice place for fresh, beautiful and delicious doughnuts! lots of different flavors, very tasty and not that filling for a doughnut :) their aqua fresca are also very good. people who work there are very open to questions and take care of their customers! but even though the tables are beautiful, you do not have a lot of seating (4/5 tables for 2)

First impression: I wasnt impressed by the famed Crème brûlée doughnut - the filling was sour, and bore little resemblance to the namesake in any flavor aspect apart from the caramelized glaze - but the selection was superb and Ill keep coming back to figure out what I like. Ill definitely give the CB donut another shot too, maybe wasnt their best.
