This new venture Ocean County College has established with the Barnes and Noble company is not what it is cracked up to be. The service and management is not friendly nor are they helpful. This store sells tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy at rates that are above 80% higher than Best Buy or Amazon. A bookstore that is attached to a publically funded Community College should not be price gouging innocent students straight out of high school. The Ocean County College Bookstore is symbolic of everything that is wrong with higher education in America today: milk the students, give them things are remarkably marked up rates, and then send them off into a world where their skills are not applicable. This bookstore, in my humble opinion, would rate less than 1 star. Please, do not be suckered in by their flashy new website, go to any other alternative you can find. They know they can bilk kids out of financial aid or their parents money. It would be a joke if it wasnt a prime example of Barnes and Nobles inept response to the 21st century market place.

Do not waist your time ordering from this company. After purchasing my used algebra book online for $150 but because they over sold the book and without my knowledge at all they bumbed the price up $60. Instead of a used book I orginally ordered they changed it with a brand new book. So seeing the price jump I figured it was just an error and Ill get it fixed, but that was not the case. When I got there the lady at the desk was entirely rude and basically said that they have the right to change what I ordered being that you agreed to our terms on our checkout page. So I read the terms and there it was but the reason why Im mad because there was absolutely no confirmation or notary to this and without my permission they charged me an additional $60. Also how can you oversell something you keep in stock, it honestly sounds like they set people up for that mess. So my advice would be to order your books from Amazon and not waist your time with this sleazy company.

The pictures online didnt represent the room I had. I expected a more updated,colorful, more "streamlined" look from the pictures. Maybe only part of the hotel was remodeled. My room was more 2000ish than 2017ish. Also, the air conditioning unit was freezing! I put the speed on low and it didnt make any difference. Plus the place smelled musty. Ive stayed in lots worse, but I would have preferred to stay in better digs. But, the staff was Very nice!

Told me I needed an online code for the course so I bought it. I email the teacher she says I dont need it. Best part is you cant return it. I will never buy anything from them again.

Didnt return my books in time so they took 256$ from my bank account
