My husband and daughter went into the store at 881 Main Street in Sayreville, NJ. We frequent this store as it is less than a mile from our house. I am currently 4 months pregnant and asked my husband to pick up some chocolate for me. Of course her obliged and went in with our 5 yr old daughter. He just informed me that when he brought the items to the register the cashier asked him why didnt he pick up some strawberries and caramel instead. He responded that it was none of her business what he was buying. She then responded that she didnt mean it like that. Needless to say, that is extremely rude and unprofessional! I asked if he still had the receipt so I could check for the cashiers name. Unfortunately, he does not but he told me that she is an older lady of Indian descent. I called the store you speak to the manager but was told to call back in the morning to speak to the manager. Ive sent this same review directly to HQ.

Weekday mornings never seem to have an issue. Fast and friendly service. Coffee is fresh and the deli looks clean. I eat from it & Im picky. The afternoons are ok too. The younger employees could use improvement with attitude & know what is not appropriate to talk about at work. Except the big black kid that works register in the afternoons. Very friendly & polite. Also he seems professional when it comes to dealing with customers. Overnights are a little slow but thats understandable. Only 2 of them to run the store while cleaning & preparing everything for the next day. The bathrooms are gross, both bathrooms. Even after they have been cleaned its still gross. They a complete remodeling. Wall tiles need replacing. The floor too. Maybe instead of tiles, try laminate? Urine soaks in the grout between tiles, festers & its near impossible to get that smell out. Also environmentally friendly toilets and sinks?

The store itself is fine but man is it slow. You stop there for an item on the way to work and youre in line for fifteen minutes waiting for some imbecile to buy lottery tickets, its maddening. Wawa is far, far superior.
