My husband and I have been customers of Wegmans since grad student days at Syracuse. Well our joy at having a Weggies in Princeton has certainly diminished since the quality of the fresh bread especially the baguettes and epi are never the same. The same goes for the appalling service at the deli where usually I drop 50 bucks every 10 days, because the rosette de Lyon is oily, sweaty and yesterday I was told (very sweetly) by a young charming African-American woman that it was too complicated to open and slice a fresh one because she would have to cut it, slice it, peel the skin.... why wont Wegmans learn how charcuterie is to be served/sold? I will be switching to Whole Foods (the same St. Marcellin is 3 bucks cheaper and better conserved), and the service, much nicer and better obliging. I feel disloyal to do that but you know what? At some point customer service and quality has got to mean something...Thanks!

I have always held a high regard for Wegmans Princeton. It has a lot of things I cant find at other stores. While a little more expensive than your run of the mill supermarket, it was worth the expense because of the quality. Today, however, I saw a disturbing sight. While taking a cart in the front of the store I saw a COCKROACH crawling on one of the carts I almost took. I hesitated to do my regular shopping for fear of taking one home from me if they happen to be on a product I was to purchase, but I checked my items carefully and purchased them anyway. This is not surprising to me considering the area and the size of the store, but if I see another one I think I will shop elsewhere from now on. When you can see them in plain site I think their is a larger problem than when it is hidden. Shop with caution.

Do NOT by the cooked ham to reheat in your oven. We were so excited to cook it with pineapple..followed the directions on the packet and when we went to eat, the only way to describe it is, it had a slimy film all over the it.. you could feel the texture in your mouth and also to the touch. It left a gross residue all over your finger. Im giving the store as a whole a 4 because besides having horrible ham, everything else that weve tried so far is great. . Especially the chicken breast that come already marinated (many different delicious marinades). We eat them at least once a week because they are so good and easy to cook. . Anyway, gotta do something about the ham. It was a major bummer.

This place has fantastic meats, produce, and cheeses. Its honestly one of the nicest groceries I have been to; its similar to while foods but much much larger and with both regular and organic selections. Theres also a cafe for coffee and you can go through a pack your own meal buffet type of thing (Im not sure what thats called). The prices are average (but slightly on the high end of average), but you get what you pay for. Its always very busy here, but the employees are all extremely helpful and I can always find help if I need it. There are also self checkout lanes, which I like.

This place constantly changing the location of thing, like for example once I went to the same isle where I got some tea last time its not there anymore, they moved it, and its happening Constantly, they change location of everything so far on me, household supplies, beauty supplies, gluten free isle, baking isle, organic isle, baby isle, omg, every time is something new. The check out isle are also so narrow. But otherwise I am pretty happy with the variety and quality of things they offer, thats why I keep coming back.

Really awesome selection. Greater variety of craft beers than any other store Ive visited in the area, including liquor and wine shops. Some really great deals on many items, but still over all slightly more expensive than Trader Joes. Great store though, all the produce I purchased was very fresh and high quality. Great sales, was able to find brands and items that Ive had trouble finding at other stores.

Store is pretty good with interesting ideas in decor. The prices is little bit high but its covered by very good variety of choices of any kind of delicatessens. The bad part is alcohol service. They ask your I.D every time even if they know you as a regular customer or even if you looks like 80 years old senior. This is not friendly at all thats why sometimes I avoid to visit their liquor department.

The once beautiful and private upstairs dining area has been replaced by a communal cafeteria downstairs, befitting a hospital. Even worse, it is shoehorned into a tiny slot with absolutely no ambience. Buffet food is still an outrageous $10/lb though. I dont usually write reviews, but seeing one of my most beloved places reduced to what it has become is quite devastating.

Quality produce, very fresh items and helpful staff. Businesses that treat their employees fairly must be supported and Wegmans is one of them. Prices are a bit high, but quality is better than ShopRite and other stores. Better value than Whole Foods in my opinion. Bakery is superb with very good muffins, cakes, rolls and bread baked fresh in the store.

This was the stellar situation market in the area, in my opinion. Lately lots of slow-moving renovations and repairs. I also observe the customers - clearly affluent with late model SUVs but they act as ravenous desperate people who havent seen food in weeks. Some staff are great some others dont have the good attitude Wegmans is known for.

Admittedly I do not spend much time in grocery stores, and when I do I am in and out as quickly as possible. Wegmans is great though, from being able to grab breakfast or lunch on the run, to the meat and seafood department. Everything is consistently fresh, and you feel like you are getting what you pay for.

Quality food, good variety, reasonable prices, convenient location a short drive from campus. Unlike the super expensive stores closer to campus, Wegmans has "normal" brands as well as local organic foods. In the past several months the hot food take-out bar has offered reduced choices and reduced hours.

Customer service is really good. I was pretty distracted one day and forget 25$ worth of groceries underneath the cart. I called in and they said they found the items and credited back the amount my next visit. Also caught organic eggs that rang up for $4 instead of advertised $2.50, it was free!

This is one of the best grocery shops in the area!! However since there is sams club right around the corner, you would be able to buy a lot of the stuff in bulk from there. Otherwise if you dont need too like me, then you can come here and they have the besttt cakes!

In some cases, thankfully, Wegmans is cheaper than ShopRite. Also, I like the energy of the store. As regards the last review posted, the fact that the deli associate is African-American is immaterial... among decent people, that is.

Good grocery store with quality produce and many tasty prepared foods. Prices are good but just a little high, keeping it from being a 5 star. It can be a 1 stop shop with wine, beer and all types of food available.
