I spend so much money in that store but I will no longer be a customer because I recently purchased over $100 worth of hair products and purchased a travel size diffuser however, I wanted to exchange the diffuser for a more expensive one(that wasnt travel sized) but was told I cant return or exchange any hot tools item. I was shocked because I was just there two days prior and wasnt told that theres a strict policy when I bought it initially. There customer service is horrible in that sense because it wasnt opened or anything. Will not shop here just because of how the manager, David Lee just told me no and walked away. ****UPDATE I even called to speak with the manager after work to let the manager know that Im disappointed on how he treated me and that his cashier and himself should state this to other future customers when buying the products and he stated "oh no, I wouldnt tell you that, you didnt speak with me, you can come in" and I asked him what changed because I was just there during my lunch break. I speak very professional and polite at all times but he didnt even let me speak when I was at the store (cause he walked away when I asked a question) as I was trying to exchange and purchase more items but I know what changed because of the color of my skin, he was rude and discriminating me. Never will I walk into that store again. I hope David Lee treats people of color better because his store is targeted to us but he will never get a dollar from me again.

Do Not Go To This Beauty Supply Store with your hard earned money. If they give you the wrong hair (in a package) and you want to return it for an exchange, they wont exchange it or give you your money back. (Yep, even when its their fault) I spent $139 and change in this beauty supply store. I bought 4 wigs and 5 wig sprays. You can try up to 5 wigs on which is on display on a mannequin and when you decide to buy a wig you like, they will give the same wig in a brand new package. I tried 5 wigs on, but ended up buying 4. One of the wigs the girl (there is this girl that works there) got for me in a package was the wrong hair (Didnt know it was the wrong hair until I tried the one in a package at home). I returned the hair back with my receipt and the wrong hair in its original package and this Asian guy (the cashier or whatever he is) wont take back the wig. Even When It Was Their Fault (for giving me the wrong hair), and was just at the store to see if I could get the hair that I originally wanted. This Asian guy said no and that was it. So, if you know how to spend your money wisely, STAY AWAY FROM THIS Plainfield Beauty Supply @ 1405 South Ave, Plainfield. NJ. They only care about making money, not customer satisfaction. Terrible customer service! Amazon will continue to be great in customer service. Learn a lesson or two from them.

I recently moved to NJ and went to this location a few times. On my visit, I had to make an exchange because the clip on ponytail that I purchased for my daughter looked "too grown". The item was $9.99. I have spent over $400 in the store since I have moved. Smh. The female Asian lady was going to let me choose something else a (male Asian) man was very upset at her and said that there was no exchange. I will NEVER SHOP there again!!! I am a business owner as well as I could understand if it were a pack of weave or other product but really ... a clip on! I should read the comments on here about discrimination before I spent my $400 here.

The African girl followed me all around the store like I was going to steal something. I felt so uncomfortable I spoke to the manager. The manager apologized to me but then gave me an attitude when I was done paying for my products. I never stole anything in my life. Everybody dont deserve to be treated like that.
