I went there 2 times over this past weekend, both Saturday and Sunday to get some parts for my sons apartment in nyc - window treatments. I told them I was getting a number of pieces, some of which would get returned since I wanted to be armed with all the parts while doing the installation. I was at Fabricland both Saturday and Sunday when I returned on Sunday, they recognized me. (They gave me the wrong color for several shears I was going to use on the window so I had to go there to return them. While there, I bought some additional parts which I told them may end up being returned. I accidentally lost my receipt and they told me, even with proof of my credit card purchase they could give me nothing but store credit. When I asked if they woman at the register recognized me, would that make a difference, they simply said "NO". Even thought I dont live anywhere near that place, they said there would be no proof of when I bought the goods. I offered to take a sale price on anything if the price had changed. I even recognized the voice of the woman on the phone (she helped me Sunday). Seriously, if I ran my business like they run theirs, we would be cooked. Zero for goodwill. Zero for handling phone calls. Zero for handling customers. Will never go back. I hate it when businesses dont know how to deal with customers. Everything was still unopened. Horrible way to learn about how they handle things. Never go back.

Ive been a Fabricland customer since before online reviews and before big box stores came along with lower quality merchandise. I have always gotten excellent friendly service from the knowledgeable sales people. The displays are very helpful when trying to decide how to dress a window in any room in the house. And when we needed a special type of curtain rod, we found it at Fabricland. The return policy isnt as good as those of the bigger stores, smaller specialty stores do business differently. I know Fabricland would make every effort to satisfy me if I had a problem with something I bought there. A few years ago, I was looking for bedroom draperies and wanted to purchase these from Fabricland. Unfortunately, at that time, there was no stock on my chosen item. In the midst of a bad economy, stores were not able to get a lot of stock from suppliers. This is something we cant blame a retailer for - I know they wanted to sell the curtains! This store is also very generous. A few years ago, this store made a generous fabric donation to our high schools drama department. I will always remember their generosity.

Poor customer service. Very helpful when you buy large ticket items. I have bought verticle blinds, window blinds and drapes from here. But when i came back to have a simple darkening shade cut to a smaller size they refused and said i would need to buy a new one. When i purchased this from them they said i could have it resized. This is a service and i expected to pay for it. But not to have buy another new one and throw out the old one. I called to speak with three store manager to voice my complaint but he was too busy. Instead, I went to Home Depot, my next stop, where I had to get a replacement for a special order window blind that was defective. Home Depots customer service in the blinds department was willing to explain why the blind might not be able to cut down and then was able to cut it down for me as a curtesy for no charge even though it was against their policy. Fabricland could learn something on custome service ftom Home Depot. Especially when their cost is more as a specialty store. I will never buy from Fabricland again.

I have shopped at Fabricland for years and have rarely been disappointed. They almost always have what Im looking for whether its fine fabrics, notions, or something for my home decor. Their prices are comparable to other stores in the area but their selection usually far outweighs anything I can find elsewhere. In fact, I had sent my cousin who lives in another state a link to a photo of a quilt I had made which was on Fabriclands website. This prompted her to explore the website and reply to me, "Wow, I wish we had a store like this near here!" The staff has always been very helpful in responding to my questions. I have taken a sewing class as well and just loved it. The teacher, Sharon, was very patient with everyone regardless of ability. I found it to be a very helpful class.

I have used Fabric Land for two upholstery projects and each time have had nothing but a pleasant experience with them. It was recommended by a good friend when I first was doing an upholstered wing back chair and the fabric selection had enough variety to fit my personal taste. Was just recently back for doing an upholstered headboard and while selection has changed there still was enough to really pick the right one. The staff was friendly and helpful even as I did 3 laps around the fabrics trying to decide. Take a look at their discount bin as you can find some great prints for good prices if you only need a yard or two.

I have used this store for many years and have always received excellent products and information. I was in the store a few weeks ago and the girl helping me did a very good job and being unsure of the answer to one of my questions she called over an expert. There are so few stores left with quality yard goods and accessories for the sewing person. It is always a pleasure to go to this store that has close to everything I need for my projects. I attempt a lot of things that are really out of my area of exoertise and the personal always have helpful tips for me.

This is my favorite place I ever worked. The boss really cares about the customer as well as his staff. The staff is very helpful. I care and totally enjoy helping the customers. To all that have made us successful over the years, thank you and to all that have shopped with us for the first time, I hope it was well worth it. Thank you Bruce for allowing me to be apart of you team. It means alot.

I just had a class here called Absolute Beginners. I have not had any sewing instruction since junior high school!... The instructor Pat was just wonderful. Shes an excellent instructor, patient and supportive. I signed up for another class with her. I also enjoy browsing the store. The reps are very helpful and always acknowledge their customers, even if they are helping others.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of varieties of drape rods, drapes, blinds etc. Came to know that they are the oldest dealer of Hunter Douglas in NJ and kid of offer lifetime free repairs if bought from them. Even if not bought from them, they ate very helpful in getting things repaired at justifiable price.
