Consistently poor customer service over a period of time; one keeps hoping that conditions will improve and give people the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are just having a bad day, but seriously, folks, dont waste your time as we did, with Eye Openers. The receptionist, Christina, had an attitude every single time we asked for help with anything, from booking appointments, to general questions, to working out claims issues. Dawn runs a very close second with regard to attitude. No customer wants to be talked down to like theyre a total idiot and with lots of sarcasm. It is very unprofessional to give a customer a big tone of voice and then deny that there is anything wrong with the way that they are speaking to you. Dawn said over and over "tell me what you want me to do" with regard to my insurance claim questions and then informed me that I should proceed with the insurance company and then get back to her, very condescending, no initiative, no going out of her way to help me, and no making either me or my husband feel like a valued customer, and my husband had just spent about 750.00 there. My husband never had experienced an optometrist who told him to "hang in there and let the contacts settle", especially when he said on the spot that they did not feel good at all; well he did "wait and see" for two whole weeks and it was a disaster for him, with headaches, blurred vision and irritatng discomfort. He threw those contacts in the trash and went back to his old ones. Finally, he pushed back and got Dawn to get the contacts right because at this point there was already money spent. A horrible experience on all levels. We dont understand what happened to good, old fashioned customer service. When a customer has questions or needs help, or is confused and frustrated about "discounts" in conjunction with their insurance so called "benefits", or most importantly of all tells you that the contacts are irritating -- that would be the time to show the customer that you are listening and that you are happy to help them, however they need your assistance. Period.

I have been coming to Eye Openers ever since Dr. Hinspeter opened this practice. I have been extremely satisfied with the exam process. I was even able to examine the basics of my records to see the progression of my change in vision. You need to let them know your usage: driving, TV, computer, smartphone or reading. I have also been pleased with the customer service as it relates to scheduling appointments, making payments, using insurance. There are a variety of frames to choose from, some I dont like and others have been perfect. I learned that when choosing frames consider your activity level, so you dont get glasses that are too fragile. Some parts are easily replaced, more fragile frames may require purchasing a whole frame. I have tried contacts, but they are not for me. The process was fairly easy at the time. If you choose contacts, consider your home or work environment. If you are exposed to lots of dust, pollen or smoke - forget about getting contacts. Every time I have been to Eye Openers, I have had a pleasant, professional experience. I updated my prescription and glasses 7/31/2017 and I love them.

I have never had a worst experience with an optical store before. The glasses were expensive. They did not do any adjustments when I first picked them up. I started getting a headache within an hour and went back. They then made adjustments. Every other place I have been to made adjustments at the time I picked them up. The glasses broke after just 42 days and now they are doing a dance about standing behind what they sell. They are going to call my insurance company and the manufacturer, but will not tell me if they plan on standing behind what they sell. Its a straight forward answer. "Do you stand behind what you sell?"

The staff have always been courteous to me, and are always willing to help with any issues Ive ever had with any prescriptions Ive gotten through them. I recommend bringing in an existing pair of frames to save money, but the mid to high tier frames that they have available have never broken on me unless theyve been heavily abused.

Organized, professional and polite! What more can you ask? I appreciate not feeling pressured to purchase anything above and beyond what I was there for. The entire staff is super polite and accommodating - I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. .

I had a nice experience when I went for an exam. I got a nice pair of new glasses and lenses. My insurance covered everything. But I was looking at some of the prices of some of the name brands I thought it was a little high but they are good quality.

Despite the reviews, I went. I had a great experience. Service was prompt, everyone was nice and courtesy. It was a little expensive. But that what to expect, there are cheap alternatives like Americas best.
