I believe when someone is doing something right they deserve to be acknowledged.....So heres my experience with Family...Ive bought lots of jewelry for myself,family and friends over the years at mom and pops, chains and the big box stores. Everything from birthday, wedding, anniversary and general gifts. Never have I experienced the attention to detail, care for my ultimate satisfaction and competitively fair prices I received from Eddie over at Family and Company Jewelers. There was no pressure, no hype, just a pleasant shopping experience with a Great outcome. I initially came in to get my daughters bracelet repaired (they even did it while I waited to save me a second trip!!). While waiting I saw a necklace my wife and I spotted at one of the jewelry chain stores....exact same piece $75 LESS...picked it up now 2 of the women in my life are happy and I can watch the ballgame in peace. What a great place to do business. Nice people, great selection, affordable prices...I hit the trifecta!!!

Had an unique engagement ring designed 25 years ago on Jewelers Row and planned on having a 25 diamond wedding band made for my wife on our 25th anniversary. The original jeweler was no longer in the area, so I searched to have the matching band made over the course of several months. The answer was right in my backyard when I visited Family Jewelers. I was first greeted warmly by Josh whom I described the ring I was looking for, he understood the concept and brought over his father Gary a Master Jeweler who had the mind and hands of an artist to put together a drawing of exactly what I was looking for. Soon after a 3D drawing was rendered for a final inspection where Garys keen eye for detail made a few slight changes to even further enhance the ring. The day had come for the surprise when me & my wife picked it up, there were no surprises with the ring it was PERFECT! I highly recommend Josh & Gary for the uniquely designed one of a kind piece jewelry.

They take the time to get to know you and exactly what you want. If they do not have something you want in stock, they will take the time to find it for you. Their prices are more than fair, and the quality of the jewelry and watches they sell is beyond compare. Purchasing jewelry can be scary, as it is a huge investment, but Family and Company Jewelers make it easy and you just know you are working with people you can trust. Like Serena, I also received horrible service from family jewelers. Had a 18k gold opal and diamond ring that I was looking to sell. A tall, young man looked at it with disdain, told me that it was extremely cheaply made (it cost $600 retail!) and said they could give me $25 for it...for solid 18k gold! The worst part was his attitude - he looked at my ring like I was selling a piece of plastic. I ended up selling my ring to another jewelry store for just over $400. I will NEVER attempt to sell any gold to them ever again ("highest price paid"...yeah right!) and will also never buy anything from them after being treated so horribly.

I have used Family & Company Jewelers for 20 year for jewelry, watches and repairs - their name "Family" says it all! They are friendly, fair, honest, reputable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The last word is most important because you need an expert to get true value from your purchases. My high quality mechanical Swiss watch bought with Ians help is an example. I am in sales and frequently call on company presidents in NYC. I have been surprised at how many times my watch gets recognized on sales calls, so it was actually a great business investment! I went to family jewelers to get my ring appraised. The man was just plan horrible. He told me "you get what you pay for" when you purchase a ring and he kept saying it was poorly made. I left the store in near tears. My ring resembles a verragio, and I guess he was upset I didnt buy it through him. I later got it appraised in Billig Jewelers, and they said it was worth near $10,000 (much more then my fiance paid). I will never go to them again nor would I ever recommend them. I would never support an establishment that hires people with such horrible attitudes and customer service.

I went to Family & Co based on a recommendation from a business acquaintance and was not disappointed! I needed an appraisal for an estate and Emilio Mulenga couldnt have been more helpful. He and the team at Family & Co. took time to look at every single piece of the many items I brought in. He then conducted a full appraisal of the valuable. The report I received was thorough and professional. I would highly recommend Family & Co for appraisals and any other if your jewelry needs.

Went in to the store hoping to be able to figure out what my options were for my wedding band and not having high hopes as I have an antique ring thats an odd shape. Ended up leaving with plans to come back as soon as they had a digital model of potential designs for my custom wedding band. Also ended up finding jewelry for me to wear on the big day and my bridesmaids gifts and I didnt go broke! Such a fantastic experience and such wonderful people. Id recommend them to anyone!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Family Jewelers treated me! Have had wonderful experiences getting jewelry appraised, and working to find the right setting to use some family diamonds in the wedding band for my fiancé. The final price for to use a setting we found in a book, and have the family stones set, was 1/3 of what I had been quoted at other jewelers. The staff is always very helpful and their pricing for the jewelry and services Ive used has been more than fair. Highly recommend them!
