From what I could observe and the way I was treated, there is three-tier caste system within the store. First, the upper tier consisted of the managers and supervisors plus the lower-level employees who espoused the same religious beliefs as David and Barbara Green, owners of the business. This was quite obvious in the surreptitious little huddles, furtive glances at customers and, in one situation I actually overheard, the whispered Bible quotes about how a particular customer would be going to Hell and just to snub such a person. The second tier included the paid staff who evidently did not identify with what I can only think must be the ordained thinking of the Greens. I actually saw a couple of placards around the store with what I thought was a probably a Planagram display code "p1-2:18". Mentioned it to a friend who laughed and pointed out it related to a Bible verse about slaves obeying their masters. The third tier was the customers. I have never been treated so badly in a retail establishment, EVER. Been in a lot of stores in a lot of towns. I thought Wal-Mart was bad. Hobby Lobby makes Wal-Mart look like Saks. Only the "anointed" were allowed to talk to customers and it appeared that if the "anointed" thought you were "saved" or whatever they MIGHT give you the time of day. If not, OH WELL..you wouldnt be in heaven so what good were you. I will never walk into a Hobby Lobby again. The Supreme Courts muddled decision to abridge the wall between church and state this past week sealed that decision even more so. Sanctimonious service, wage slaves, and a complete disregard for the fact our Nation is a Nation based on HUMANIST principles has really made this a retail location to avoid..

Theres a lot to appreciate about Hobby Lobby. You enter the building to a nice open space with shopping carts and wheelchairs. Wide wheelchairs, might I add. This is the first store Ive been to in this area that has had wheelchairs that will seat more than average weight. The music is also a pleasure to listen to. Other stores will play pop. Those songs drive me nuts. This one plays instrumental music that really helps add to the peaceful atmosphere. Of course it does get crowded at times but the employees Ive seen have always been very nice regardless and seem to have fun while they work which is always great to see. They have your standard crafts and supplies, but what makes HL different from ac Moore or Michaels is the home decor. Theres a lot of God stuff and faith stuff and thats not for me, being an atheist, but theres a huge selection of animal decor and some mermaid stuff too, which I love. Basically even though theres a Christian theme to The store, theres plenty of things for non theists as well.

I guess Im just a sucker for stores that sell cool unique things. While shopping online is usually over 50%-300% cheaper, you really cant tell the build or craft quality if items you might use to decorate your home. My only complaint is related to the sometimes ridiculous price tags. The other day I saw a $300 mirror. I saw a similar one elsewhere for $60. Maybe its just me but Id just never spend $300 on a mirror.

I will not shop in Hobby Lobby until they offer full medical coverage, including a workers right to contraceptives of their choosing and their doctors recommendation, to all their female employees. I heartily disagree with todays (June 30, 2014) US Supreme Court decision allowing Hobby Lobbys right to not include this coverage based on their "Christian values." Shame on Hobby Lobby; Shame on the Supreme Court!

Not letting their corporate policies dictate my choice, rather the fact that they have a wide selection (as traditional art stores disappear ) I have started to shop at Hobby Lobby more often. It is especially helpful as usual go-to stores for art or craft supplies such as Michaels and AC Moore become more attentive to stocking impulse merchandise and other less practical goods.

Hobby Lobby is great! They have everything you need and the staff at the Englishtown store are super knowledgeable and friendly. They showed me where everything I need was and helped me pick out the right stuff to complete my project. I make model navy ships and this store is my go to for all the model supplies I need.

This is my new favorite store!! So much fun stuff to decorate with and get creative with. Its like Michaels and Home Goods had a baby!! I also LOVE that they value their employees and are closed on Sunday. Refreshing to see a big company that still cares about the person and family values!

Great store, friendly salespeople. As a Christian American, I believe it is not wrong to stay true to ones own faith and beliefs. They stock faith-based, spiritually uplifting products. I would recommend this store to anyone who loves God. - W. Johnson, Manalapan, NJ

This was the first Hobby Lobby we went to, and we still love it. The aisles are well stocked (if a bit narrow), and we can always find some fun things we didnt expect. The cashiers are always friendly, if a bit harried. This is a really good HL, and we know well be back.

This is a pretty small Hobby Lobby as compared to others in NJ/PA. I know space is limited, but it certainly doesnt have the vast selection of items that other Hobby Lobby stores have. They do, however, carry beautiful decor and other home items.

The owners need to stop shoving their religious beliefs down their employees throats. Will never set foot in this store. I hope theyre aware that they just alienated a huge customer base by suing the government over a politically divisive issue.

My wife LOVES this place! She can spend hours there! Ergo, that is why I dislike the place. Everything here is something we dont "need"! How can a man like this place. His wife gets lost for hours and so does his money for a few trinkets :(

Love Hobby Lobby! They have beautiful merchandise. The only craft store that sells religious artifacts. Great for the employees that the store closes at 8 pm and closed on Sundays. All stores should be closed on Sunday like they used to be.

This place is so addicting. You can find new things for your home all the time. I am always looking for new ways to vamp up my apartment and make it more me. They have nice accent pieces, wall decor, seasonal items. I absolutely love it.

Great place, has all the craft supplies as well as furniture and decor. When you think of this place, you may think of arts and crafts but there is much more to it. This place is my go-to for crafts and supplies.

Nice store, but, we work all week and have only 2 days to shop. Sat and Sunday. Why would all other stores be open on Sunday except Hobby Lobby. For this reason I will pass on shopping here.
