I live 5 minutes from this pharmacy, but I absolutely HATE it. There is usually a long line at the pharmacy counter, and in general, the employees are not very efficient, OR polite. The inspiring event for this review was calling to find out why I was getting an automated call that my redi-fill prescription is ready 2 weeks early, which has happened 3 times now. By the time I need more meds, they have sent back the refill. Ive tried to fix it at the counter, and they say it will correct itself after I picked it up this time. Didnt happen. When I tried to explain this to the person on the phone, wondering if theres way this wont keep happening, she obviously didnt want to bothered, but was ready to cancel my redi-fill service. I said I dont want it cancelled, I want it to work right. Thats nowhere near the first problem Ive had there, but its finally prompting me to write a review. GRRR. Im moving my prescriptions to Wallgreens, 15 min farther away. Itll probably save time and definitely frustration.

When they first opened, it was horrible. VERY long lines, confused staff. It has improved a lot since then, and I no longer wince at the thought of going there to pick up a prescription. Lately it seems only 1-2 people ahead of me in the prescription line. Dont sign up for automatic refill unless you are fine with robo calls which dont co-ordinate for your convenience. (Your 3 monthly prescriptions available 2 - 3 days apart, and if you ask them to make them available on one trip, they say they cant, and you have to call headquarters to take care of that.)

Im usually very happy with the service at CVS in Hanover, but my most recent phone conversations with pharmacy technicians over the transfer of a prescription to another pharmacy were disappointing. I received one set of instructions from the first two techs with whom I spoke, then the complete opposite from a third. When I shared this fact with the third, she became defensive, if not rude, and couldnt have been less helpful. I like shopping with Hanovers Main Street businesses, but I will probably take my pharmacy needs elsewhere.

Weve had some insurance issues over the last couple months, and the CVS pharmacists have been fantastic. They repeatedly and patiently called and faxed doctors and insurance companies to jump through paperwork hoops. When insurance problems delayed needed medicine, they let us pay out of pocket for a couple days doses, and reimbursed us once the coverage was straightened out. When a CVS computer problem interfered, they gave us a few days of pills free of charge. Im impressed.

I must say, the pharmacists here are very helpful. If I have a question about my medicine, they are always friendly and knowledgable sharing what they know with me. I really appreciate their willingness educate me.

Some of the most rude unhelpful people I have ever come into contact with. No sympathy. Very immature. Go elsewhere. No one needs the attitude especially when you are sick.

They just added that made to go meal section that a lot of other cvs have. Plus they have self checkout now which is great.

You can expect to find a typical college town CVS. It is often crowded, not the cleanest, and with average service.
