With the recent snow in the nearby mountains, we were in a rush to find snow gear. I was pleasantly surprised with what Big 5 had in stock. I was able to get all of our gear for almost everyone at reasonable prices. This without resorting going to Dicks, REI, or Sport Chalet down South under such short notice.

They might have what you need but the store is a mess and poorly organized. Staff maybe able to help you find what you need if its in eyesight of the checkout, but more likely they wont have a clue what youre talking about.

Why is this store so cramped? You can find much of what you are looking for here but I dont feel comfortable buying anything big with how small the place feels. The staff are very friendly and they know their stuff.

Great selection of shoes, not terribly expensive. Good outdoor activity selection, especially for snow!!!! We Always go here for our last minute Mt Charleston needs!!!

Bought a really affordable gun safe and they loaded it right up
