They only value and remember their wealthy customers. Despite spending a few thousand each year, when I come into the store and sometimes dressed in my jogging outfit or whatever it might be...they seem to judge really fast. Very inappropriate! I also return or exchange on occasions when I dont like the product and if I am not happy with it, and they seem to get offended and one time despite having proof of purchase from online they would not accept it because my product had no tag on it. Thats just not Nordstrom. Things have changed and I am not going to shop there any longer. It seems they only made the store and their policies for the wealthy people of america. Also if they know that you have returned items on occasions even if it is legitimate and you had proof of purchase next time you come in you will not even be approached instead the employees whisper and talk about customers behind customers backs. They make it seem like the customer has done something illegal or inappropriate they make you feel bad for returning something you dont like or are not satisfied with. Well I am sorry Nordstrom but I will not spend my money there. There are plenty of other stores and online shops where I do not have to encounter this type of behaviour and customer services based on class division.

Nordstrom is, in general, a great department store. It is always organized and aesthetically pleasing, unlike pretty much any other department store in St. Louis. While they do carry a lot of items that are "higher budget," they are famous for their amazing sales. I do almost all of my shopping for work at Nordstrom - and I do most of that during the half-yearly sales. Plus, they carry the best shoes and always have a wide selection. While there are reviews here that suggest the store itself can be judgmental about appearance, I find that that behavior is coming from individuals rather than a store-wide approach. I once had a similar experience and conveyed it to a manager. She was quick to offer me something for my trouble. Trust me - they dont want those people working for them just as much as we consumers dont want to deal with them.

we were at the mall on a sunday evening just to have my daughter play at their indoor play area, so, yes we were not dressed in our expensive clothes. My husband decided check in this store for shoes for my daughter. The lady at the counter started helping/discussing with him. Then there is this family of 2 kids come by wanting to exchange their purchase, they were really well dressed and that was it. The lady started helping these people, completely ignored us. And, the otherguy (manager may be) gets involved also. It hurt us a lot, I have decided not to go in this store any time in the future. You guys sell your merchandise basing it on status?.it is not always how people look, it is who they are. Treat everyone the same without any bias. The worst experience ever.

Best customer service I have ever experienced. I do not agree when people say they only treat the high paying customer well. That is inaccurate. They tracked down a $38 romper for me, over nighted it for free and had it steamed. That was for a few dollars in commission. I will always shop here! Thanks for always being amazing!

I think their service is great! I go in sporting sweat pants and a jacket all the time; I dont have to chase down service. Although I was wearing North Face. Only reason I took off a star, is I wish they would have more to offer in the Womens clothing. It seems a bit sparse. Oh well theres also the online store.

One of the best experiences for shopping. Enjoy taking my wife here and having the staff to dote on every need she has. While you pay a premium for the clothes its worth it to have both the service during check out and the return service. Our experience today was top notch as usual.
