The day we purchased our custom couch at the La-Z-Boy in Richmond Heights we received absolutely wonderful customer service. We were sold hook, line and sinker on everything and ended up spending almost $2000 on a custom couch. We were told the couch would be ready in 6-8 weeks and then we would receive a call about delivery. 8 weeks came and went and we didnt hear a peep from La-Z-Boy. We contacted customer service and were told our fabric was backordered and it would be an additional few weeks to get it finished. We were upset that no one had contacted us to let us know about the delay, but we were still excited about the couch so we let it slide. Now, it has been 16 weeks and we still dont have our couch AND we still dont know when we will get it. Weve called customer service and the Richmond Heights store directly only to get different stories from every person we talk too. Most recently we got an incredibly cocky voicemail from the salesgirl who sold us the couch in which she detailed the dates and times we have spoken with customer service and said "we have been very good about staying in contact with you about these issues." It was basically a slap in the face because WE have been the ones contacting them and staying on top of them about the couch. That voicemail was the only time someone from La-Z-Boy had reached out to us! For all of our trouble the only thing weve been offered is free delivery, which is a drop in the bucket compared to what were spending on the couch. The manager at the Richmond Heights store has been absolutely useless. She just blames the warehouse and make excuses. I wouldnt recommend buying from La-Z-Boy unless you have a lot of money and time to waste.

I had recently moved to Missouri with no furniture and walked into lazboy in mid December. I explained my situation and what I was looking for and they set me up with their complimentary home designer. The designer did a nice job building a living room but that is where the experience started turning south. I asked for the design to stay under 5000 instead all the designs were closer to 7000. I asked how long it would take and was promised 4-6 weeks but it turned into 6-8 and ultimately ended up being 12 weeks. They offered the no interest financing, however, the account they set up is a credit card so it will max out the credit card and hurt your credit. The worst part really came with the customer service. Throughout the whole ordeal I tried my best to be reasonable with them on timing. As they missed the second promised deadline I asked for a discount but was refused. When the furniture was in I asked for same day delivery but was refused. The worst part was that the sales manager was very curt with me and constantly blamed the warehouse and the corporate office. As a manager I would have expected her to take ownership of her store but instead every delay and issue wasnt her fault and she couldnt do anything to help me. The whole ordeal was truly a negative experience being a transplant with no where to sit in my home and never being able to have company over. It made my transition to St. Louis challenging and unpleasant. Overall, I would say Im very happy with the product just not with the service. I would genuinely recommend going to the store in Illinois or another la-z-boy nearby, where they value customer service.

Bought a couch a year ago from them. When they sold us the couch they offered a protection plan that would fix any damage done to the couch beyond normal wear and tear. Specifically they promised that pet Stains from urination would be included, and this was our sole reason for buying the warranty as we have a cat. They explicitly told us they would come out and clean the couch for this. Just over a year later our cat urinated on the couch. We immediately called and were referred to a third party. We were told they do not clean for pet urination. We were flat out lied to by Lazy Boy as they lived up to their name. We will never purchase from them again.

Be aware!! Very poor customer service! Furniture only display in the store not for sale. If you like it, it might take 6-8 weeks to arrive. Additional charge for shipping and there is no chance to return the furniture because you only have three days and it starts the date you purchase it. WTH, I dont even receive the furniture yet and I have no right to return it if it has any flaw or damage. You have to pay $ 160 dollars for warranty. Sale person does not care it sell the furniture or not so does the store manager. Bad experience..... Never go back again. Not recommend to anybody.

Bought a chair which was delivered 2 weeks ago. The stripes do not match. I am being told that I should have known that DR, which is the cutting code, meant that the stripes would be random. Just how would the public know that information? I was told that they just assume I would know they do not match stripes. I have offered to change the fabric to another choice, but their stance so far is that I just have to live with what I have received. TERRIBLE customer service. I would never purchase another product from LaZBoy.
